In light of last years controversy over pin yes or no and does a camera angle make a difference. I would like to point out a particular circumstance where indeed there is a difference based on which view you look at. In pic one, looks like a pin, In pic Two, clearly was not a pin and the right call. In this circumstance you can see, both shots are of the same match and to the best of my ability, the same moment. I freeze framed exactly at the lowest point the hands ever went. So just want to share that cameras can definitely play tricks and to give some understanding when we are all busy Monday morning quarterbacking a match/ call. The refs do not have the ability to pause and freeze frame. They have to make split second decisions and some times the arm is faster than the eye

Not only that... if you look at the 2nd pic you could make an arguement for an elbow foul... clearly not the case in the first.

Now I am gonna throw a Spanner into the works as I actually thought that it WAS parallel on the day whilst watching live at the event. I also think that on a Mazurenko table that Bad Boy is a pin ALL DAY !!! I thought Ryan parallel pinned it and that Mendez just got the rub of the green that day as far as the luck goes ! I am not knockin the lad you ride your luck when it comes and he pulled great in Colombus but I did think he had the luck riding with him on that call and those pictures don't make me belive any different ;D

In picture #1 you can see light shining under the hands but above the pin pads. That means that the hands were above the pin pads. I dont think it was a pin, but both pullers pulled good that day.

On a diff table things may have went differently anyway, so thats irrelevant in my book. Jmo

Camera angle is perceiving and it looked like Leonard was dialed in with the pin...The second pic look as an elbow foul, but camera angle don't do any justice..

These pics show just how deceptive different camera angles can be. The 2nd pic def looks like a foul but obviously it isn't. Thanks for posting Gary!

I don't know if it was a rule at this tournament or not but the competing shoulder looks pretty close to being below the table.
