Tim b....nobody thinks you can beat pushkar....you lost to me!!!!...josh h..the question is, what is harder to do....beat devon best of 6 or win WAF or ZLOTY?.. I think beating devon in six rounds is by far the hardest thing to do in arwrestling. One or two long matches and it's over. I don't think even a 230 John could beat him in 6. Win the first two then maybe, then Devon takes over. There would have to be a large strength difference like Taras in 06.

large strength difference??? What are you talking about, Devon was the stronger men that day (you can see what happened everytime the match stop) he just didn't know how to stop a fast, hard toproll, now he kows and if they pull again it'll be 100 to 0

How is Puskar stronger then Devon, When Puskar and Denis just pulled at Zloty they both seemed fresh being they didn't have to armwrestle. Puskar didn't flash Denis, Denis made quicker work out of Puskar compared to what Denis had to go throught to beat Rich L ...Then look at what Devon was able to do with Rich L .. I don't think you can say anybody is stronger then Devon until they prove it and Devon gives up 50lbs to everyone, and Tim B would have been in the top 3 at Zloty...JMO different shapes of athletes...different kind of preparations according to do importance of their targets..

by the way..what is 'stronger'? stronger finger? wrist? back pressure? hook? toproll? side pressure? bicep? rotator? explosiveness? endurance? if i dont allow someone who has stronger hook than i have, to hook me... does it mean i am weaker or stronger? do i beat him with magical powers or with applying necessary physical strength? every technique requires the necessary physical strength to be effective..

I watched alot of videos from Zloty, guys look awesome strong. I really look forward to facing the top European Guys, wether its Andrey, Dennis, etc.. ( Zoloev!!). I just hope for a good fight, 4-2 is a great result, and would be happy really so long as it was close and we could leave it all on the table. Hopefully in the new year one of these will happen. just an FYI i was exactly 240lbs when i pulled Taras in 2006. i have been 235 + basicly since i was 22 i would cut down the odd time for a 100kg tournament.. today my bodyweight is 240.
Congratulations to Dennis and Andrey for winning what looked to be an insanely hard tournament.

i think it also shows how great Voevoda was..he always beat Taras without problems.. In another thread a while back I mentioned I thought Voevoda was maybe the best ever or close when he left the sport in my opinion. But i remember few people disagreed or wouldnt consider it. I still think his last year he could beat anybody

Devon is much better then he was with Taras. I believe he would beat that shape Taras fairly easy now. Remember his war with Ron bath back. Then 6-0 two or three years later. Vs Pushkar I say 5-1. Devon losing the first one or second. Vs Denis 6-0
Just My opinion

Engin: I was refering to Taras, because I haven't noticed him pulling this year. But if you have info on BOTH, by all means, please share! Because last I heard about Voevoda, he hurt his elbow practising Judo, but this was several months ago...?

I love Ivakin, he is a really great Guy & an excellent Top Roller however if he was to pull the Devon of today regardless of whether he was in the best form of his life he would feel like he had just spent a rough afternoon in the Prison Showers ! John, with all due respect mate, IF you had been at the 2004 Zloty and also at last weekends Nemiroff World Cup you might have a VERY different perspective of the points I put forward. If one man pulls 4 WORLD Elite pullers back to back & another man doesn't actually pull ANYONE until the finals those are two VERY different experiences. All I am saying is that Jerry had to Armwrestle MUCH harder than some other Elite Super Heavyweights in his efforts to reach the finals. FACT. END OF. Trubin & Matyushenko in particular BOTH of whom then later laid down for Andre & Denis. I understand strategy BUT for us to act like it doesn't change the eventual outcome of the event at that level is just completely ludicrous. Can you imagine two Horses setting off in a Steeple Chase event like "The Grand National" with one Horse having to jump all of the Fences (all of which are high) whilst the 2nd Horse was allowed to simply run around the fences ! IF I were a betting Man I know where I would put my Money ! & if you chose to bet on the other Horse............ YOU WOULD LOSE ;D Sure Horse one might well be able to clear all of the fences BUT don't deny that they are High & that they would have an effect and slow the Horse down W.T.F...............anyone out there who is of that opinion.....ya need to give your head a Wobble & think that through ! ;D Cheers Neil
