It will be a lot of fun to see who pulls this class next summer! I'm intrigued by how the Absolute Category will be run. Details can be found here: www.armsport-rus.ru/NewVer/A1_index.asp?l=en&m=4Which top North Americans would you love to see pull in the Absolute?

Yes this will be very interesting. Currently, I plan on going.
However the Absolute class has flaws IMO. What if the #1 and #2 puller are on the same side of the bracket? There is NO way for them to get 1st and 2nd. and that could make for a couple thousand dollar difference in prize money.

Hopefully they will separate the top ranked pullers into the four categories (A, B, C, and D) as well as they can. But you're right, this can potentially happen. Going by today's WOA rankings, they'd have to put two of the three top guys on one side of the bracket (Devon, Denis, Andrey).
I impressed that they are able to offer the same prize money for both left and right arm.

It will be interesting to see which pullers opt to pull the regular tournament but not the absolute category, which pullers pull the absolute but not regular tournament, and which pullers (if any) decide to pull both. Will guys like Zoloev, Babayev, and Liliev duke it out in the 90 kg class, or save themselves for the absolute category where the big money is? Some of the regular tournament classes may be a bit easier to win if the top pullers just focus on the absolute.
I know it's still 8+ months away, but I'm very excited about this event. It has the potential to be the toughest armwrestling tournament to win in the history of the sport!

Wow for that kind of coin and this much advance notice, there should be NO reason for all top pullers to not plan to be there. Unless of course they simply don't want to...but damn, for that much money why wouldn't they want to??

As a fan, I'd prefer if there was ONLY an absolute category. Everybody starts fresh and then we get to see who the very best armwrestler is.
