I don't know the whole story so it is difficult to make an accurate judgement about this issue, but it looks like politics as usual and that for us moving on is not good! This isn't just an European issue though Kyle.

Are your suggestion promoters are deliberately trying to make each other look bad?

I actually, just to make it clear wasn't talking about anything but what I saw in the posts there. What's going on between the WAF and EAF is going to in some measure have an impact on all of us who pull in any related venue.

You are so right there John. Posted this for people to learn what is happening and already it has been hijacked and turned into something else. It seems if the EAF doesn''t get their way they will ruin the chance of WAF from possibly joining Sportscore and helping our chances of getting a little closer to the Olympics.

Pshhh, EAF and WAF both a joke, Neither one wants us to be an Olympic sport, they would both dwindle away cause of what they really are. Oh and I've already seen the Decline in the WAF, ArmWars is taking over;not that I agree or disagre this happening, but ArmWars is paying money and putting some >>>Entertainment<<< into the sport.

Bill we can get into Sport Accor and it will mean nothing. Armwrestling is not going to be a Olympic sport because we got into that group. This whole drive to join Sport Accor is a diversion to keep the countries occupied and thinking that something positive is being done. Nothing wrong with joining but no one should be deluded into thinking that it means a hill a beans for Olympics.

The issue I was trying to make was not if we get in Olympics or not, it was the fact that EAF threathened to send a letter to sports accor if WAF didnt do what they(EAF) wanted done. I don't think we will get into Olympics just because we join any other assoc but any exposure can't hurt.

He was given a punishment for his actions and now 5 years later, it has not been followed or adhered to. Then because he does not want to do the "Time" so to speak, the big daddy wants to nullify the punishment. To me as a simple armwrestler that ain't right. JMO

Truth. I personally don't care about WAF or the Olympic "dream". ArmWars is where it's at, no question. To each their own I would love to pull in some supermatches and the Armwars format definitely rocks for TV, but you don't get the mass comraderie at that limited event that you can get at a national or world championship. From the beginning of sport it was a place where nations or tribes could come together and compete rather than fight, to remember that we are more alike than different, and just to enjoy each others company. I have no doubt that Neil is going to take our sport to amazing places, but that is not just because of the format, but because of who he is! No one works harder than him. On the other side of that I have watched Neil be the last man standing among many on some days, and I doubt if he had to do that over again he would want to throw that away that is what gave him the passion he has. I definitely still see a place for both I have met and made friends with people all over the world in a way that facebook can never replace and that is to me priceless! All of this has nothing to do with why this thread started, but since it came up thought that was worth throwing out for thought as to me the original topic still does matter. Pulling was one of the original sports and NO ONE deserves to be in the Olympics more than us period!

Who are those 6 voting members of current WAF Executive board who voted 5-1 to veto EAF to lift sanctions implemented by EAF against General Secretary of WAF and suspended EAF directorate member Deneumostier?
