Hi everyone, just so you can start organizing yourselves, here is the offical website ( armbrazil2012.com/?page_id=86 ), which already has the hotel prices. It's one hotel for all countries. The room rates per night are: Single room - US$200 Master Suite - US$300 (150 per person) Double - US$160 (80 per person) Triple - US$210 (70 per person) 4 people - US$240 (60 per person) 6 people - US$300 (50 per person) The prices include: - Breakfast - Beach security guard - Transportation from the hotel to the venue and back to the hotel - Pool - Daily Entertainment - Located in front of the beach - Close to restaurants, bars, shopping places, etc. If you need any help, please let me know. Looking forward to having you all in my country! Gabi

Wow! The prices are higher than a luxury hotel in western Europe. WAF 2012 Comittee couldn't make it better? For most countries Brazil is too luxury travel and now the hotel prices.... It's interesting what WAF bosses are thinking about this...

I agree with you Vazgen 100%. Is this really the best rates that the WAF could negotiate?

I think, the Brazil travel cost will cut the number of Team USA members in half... .
I remember, my hotel at WAF 2010 Mesquite was $35 per night.... . 2 guys in the room made it 50% each.... . Compare?

Although I tranlated it, on the official website you can choose your language by clicking on the little flag at the bottom of the page.
The prices are cheaper than last year's WAF Worlds in Kazakhstan, we paid about US$90 dollars a night per person (we stayed at Otrar Hotel or something like it - same one of WAF members) for a double room and it didn't include tranportation, we had to pay for it separately.
I'm not sure if we stayed in the same hotel, Vazgen, but that big one (i fogot the name now) right next to the venue wasn't that price... I paid a lot more than US$35 per person, but it was cheaper than Kazakh for sure.
I'm trying to get the name of the hotel and it's address as you might need it to get the visa.
Let me just remember you that we are staying in Praia Grande (a city 10km from Sao Vicente) and it's a beach city, what makes it more expensive than other ones, plus it's going to be summer time in Brazil, so touristic season, and the hotel will be basically only for us (people from all over involved in the Worlds).
I've been to a few WAF Worlds and I believe I paid much more and other countries including Kazakhstan last year.

The name of the hotel is Colônia de Férias dos Empregados do Comércio do Estado de São Paulo - Av. Presidente Castelo Branco 8420, Vila Mirim, Praia Grande SP. Our president will provide the visa letter this next week on the website. Also, check our facebook page, if you are not part of the group, ask to be added and you can get info there too! www.facebook.com/groups/196088313817552/
