John did say if it went in a hook Devon would beat Voevoda.

I will say that john and Travis would have the best opinions but in my opinion it looked like travis got the hit off and Voevoda controlled him and pulled him back makes me think Devon would be able to get Voevoda in the staps and hook him or press him the way he did Bresnan in the last 2 matches. also Voevoda was a powerhouse outside controlling not super fast like Taras so that is good for Devon i think if they just straight up toprolled Voevodas advantage if they hooked Devon holds him . I just cant see Voevoda keeping Devon from turning him into a hook 6 times i think Devon has way more moves and angles John turned him in the straps in 04 Devon does that in the first mach and stops him with the bicep hook lock its all over . |

Doesn't John's commentary in Pulling John say that he (John) had nothing for Voevoda and no control?

^That is irrelevant to what John actually did. Voevoda was just simply stronger that day. But John did just tell me a little while ago that if Devon turns Voevoda into a hook or even just simply doesn't get pinned right after GO then Devon wins in both cases.

"Devon will have a very hard time controlling Alexey's hand it's very wide and very strong ... I could see him rolling Devon's hand flat."
He also said that.
We'll just have to wait and see if it ever happens.

Yup but he didn't say he would beat him just because he rolled it flat

Devon can pull cracked back.
Also remember how much trouble pushkar gave Alexey from a cracked hand position

Devon dosnt need to control Voevodas hand. If they end up in the straps and they are on tight devon just needs his wrist or forearm to touch Voevodas with no gap and he will be able to beat his arm by hook or press devon is good at this and i dont know how to explain it vey well by typing but i know how to do this good on the table againts pure toprollers Devon will use downpressure to win if this makes sense

Personally I think Voevoda would lose to Devon 5-1 maybe 4-2 if he gets a strap match early on. But I would want to see a second super scheduled afterwards. I think then that Voevoda would learn from it and train even harder much like he did with Travis. The second super I would guess 4-2 Voevoda after some serious devotion on his part. But all this isn't even my personal dream match. I don't think we have seen Bagent prime right handed yet just my thoughts.

Hypotheticals are kind of lame but whatever, here are my 2 cents.
You have to look at Alexey's move. He had this amazingly powerful high hook much like Tim Bresnan. We all know that Devon had a hard time with that move against Tim and I'm willing to say Voevoda was stronger then, than Tim is now(Brzenk said Voevoda was the strongest armwrestler he ever pulled). Puskar vs Devon is a bad comparison because Devon takes his hand. Voevoda's hand and wrist were insane back in the day from what I can tell.
Also as was mentioned earlier, people have an incredibly hard time pinning M. Todd but Voevoda powered through like it was nothing.
