Much agreed And I'm not going to tournaments I am not pulling in...sorry it cost money so I will spend it on going somewhere I can pull, Arnold's only qualify so many people so how many can you possibly get there even if they all show. Armwrestling is growing, just not at the pace everyone would like.

It's growing fast where I am.
LOTS of PASSION and LOVE here. Don't know WTF he's talking about.
And honestly, I don't care at all about that tournament. I've been there and was not impressed at all at the rushed format, weak reffing, being treated as nobody (because really it's the bb, strongmen, fitness people who get all the prestige).
Why would I go to that tournament? Really, we have a better one here in Toronto. More time, supermatches, better tournament format etc. Arnolds isn't as important to everyone as you think it is.

I'm pretty sure I heard a dog fart during one of the best matches. How? There was virtually no one there watching except the pullers. Why? It's boring to watch. We could speed it up a bunch more and make it way more watchable if it was 100% set grip and straps right out of the gate. Also, way too many bs fouls called. All the grab- assing for a grip only to result in a finger pull and/or a slip (both are horrible to watch) or a ref that is way too eager to stop a match with an invisible foul or a questionable pin. Those things make it hard to watch.

hey I asked for a conversation. I didn't say you had to suck its nuts. I love the event . we were specifically talking about people driveable ...not sure if john is or not. and regarding the sport dying phrase...it is ofcourse an expression when I see not one comment to an otherwise worthy topic of discussion and ofcourse...I am prone to exaggeration...but when I am saying sport dying...I am referring to good conversation or the lack there of sometimes unless it is to spew vitriol.

Arnold Classic fitness expo remains elite and has huge awareness potential for armwrestling. It should be supported regardless of structure or other faults with it. If there were more armwrestlers the potential to make it better exist. think of big picture
What is with the crying comments all of a sudden. remember I have another gig and doing well. ARM TV isn't a part of this thread.

If that was directed at me, F-u. You were asking why no one was there supporting or watching (even if they couldn't compete). I told you what I thought a contributing factor was. Wasn't spewing anything or crying.

crying wolf. comment whatever that means Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I727 using proboards To Cry wolf is an expression that means "raise a false alarm"Such as to say "the sport is dying" when it's very much thriving.

It would be too far for me to drive. If it was a more attractive event for me I'd consider driving that far but it would probably be easier to just fly (I think it's around 10-11 hrs) The sport dying is a worthy topic? Well it's not dying so what angle are you approaching this at? Are you looking at this sport from nostalgia or numbers? Sure the old guard (who we look to as superstars) aren't around as much but everyone ages. We have a lot of new talent coming up as well guys who've been around for years. I think this sport is very strong right now. Maybe it's different where you are. Or maybe you're just talking to the wrong people.

I think the numbers are down but the level if competition is high. And people aren't traveling to as many events as they used to. I used to go all the time when gas was cheaper. Now I go to just a select few.
