I am not too surprised but thought it would be a little closer than it was. Devon is at his best though and John even said that Devon would kill him. I think Devon is unstoppable now, and I would bet $$$ that Brzenk will never again beat Devon (no disrespect to John though he is still the greatest ever).
I think Devon is probably pretty close to, and maybe even better than an in-shape John but also heavier. And Bagent won't beat Devon right handed, but I would like to see Dave Randall or Richard Lupkes (once he is recovered and at full strength) take on Devon.

Engin,
I think Dave Randall should be on that list somewhere. He beat Tim at AAA Nationals and from what I saw would most likely take an unhurt Richard (based on how Tim did with both of them.) I would like to see Dave get out to armwrestle a bit more, but when he shows he takes care of business.

Even though Devon looks like the Amish kid that lives down the street from me, in his avatar(I mean that will a GREAT deal of respect Devon). Nobody can deny he is a BAD MUTHA SCRUNCHA!!!! Good job on doing something to my knowledge no one else has been able to do.

He'll have to work his way up through the ranks, to deserve a shot at Devon again! JOKING!!! ;D A re-match with a heavier, healthier John would make for an awesome show! I'm sure they'll meet again.

Don't forget, even if John gets heavier and healthier again, it will take some time, and Devon will continue to get better at the same time. I don't see John ever beating Devon again.
Could be wrong though, and I'm not trying to offend anybody.

Come on John, show him how it's done man !!!!

When do you think that will be? When he's 70? Don't underestimate Devon Larratt, look how far he has come so far. He will just keep geting better. "There are no limits". www.mkarmwrestling.co.uk/modules.php?name=gallery2&g2_itemId=2659www.mkarmwrestling.co.uk/modules.php?name=gallery2&g2_itemId=2671Of course I hope John comes back, but it seems kinda unrealistic to me, given how great Devon seemed to be on Saturday. I guess I will have to see the video before I make up my mind but from the descriptions I have read from people that were there, Devon didn't have a lot of trouble winning.

Josh I really have to disagree with you man. A 230 2006 Brzenk would have gave him a good match. Don't get me wrong I really like Devon an would rather him take the spot from John than anybody else but John is a force to be reckon with when he is healthy an at 230lbs. Especially when his wrist is healed up. Maybe not the strongest ever in a hook even at that weight but the best ever.

His performance at Mohegan and then later in Boomtown where he toyed w/ Marcio, and everone else there, like he was a little boy (no disrespect ment) was just rediculous. NO ONE could have beaten him IMO.

That was only 2 years ago and the man isn't that old ! ;D Maybe this ass kicking is enuff to fire him up! Come on John ! Don't retire yet ! Come back and beat this guy! Its not a question IF he can do it , it is WILL he do it? I BELIEVE!!!!!!

Especially when his wrist is healed up. Maybe not the strongest ever in a hook even at that weight but the best ever. Agreed, but that is when John is a healthy 230 lbs. (and unless I am very much mistaken, the 230 lbs. John only happened that one time). As for in a hook, yeah, I would say he is the strongest ever at this point except maybe Devon now, hard to say. But again that is when he is a healthy 230. He won't get that way overnight, it will take time to get that healthy, and that is assuming he starts training his butt of and chooses to gain weight (which he says he liked to stay lighter because he feels more comfortable at a lighter weight). Even so, lets say John trains his butt off for 6 months, gets up to 230, and is in the same shape he was in 2006 in the video that Dustin posted (which I have watched many, many times, btw). This is assuming a lot but lets assume it happens. Devon will not be sitting on the couch this entire time, he, too, will be training his butt off and getting better (and probably heavier) as well, which is why I don't see John ever beating Devon again. Like I said before, John is going to eventually lose and never come back, the time will eventually come, whether it happen now or in 15 years, and we all know this. John's the greatest ever but even the greatest ever is not gonna stay at the #1 spot forever. So if John does beat Devon again, when will John be overtaken by somebody for keeps, never beating them back? Think about this, and remember that Devon works harder than almost anybody.

Its not a question IF he can do it , it is WILL he do it? I BELIEVE!!!!!! WAS onstuppable, at the time. If he wouldn't have much trouble getting back to that form, why did he ever get away from it? Why is he even worse now that he usually is at 215, if it were that easy? Yes he could do it but I doubt it will be as easy as you are suggesting, and remember, as I said in my other post, Devon will also be getting better and heavier at the same time. I HOPE John comes back and beats Devon, but I don't think it will happen. Of course people always want to stick with John because he is such a legend, more people even thought John would win the supermatch then thought Devon would win even though John himself said that he would get dominated. This was in the Nevada State video on ROTN, and he said he is not ready for Marcio Barboza or Ron Bath, either, referring to the ROTN.
