IMO, Denver would settle this discussion for now. I agree with Simon, that it would be Rick, Devin, Bryon and a slimmer than now Simon. The order would depend on the draw....

Just trying to keep things in perspective, no question Bryon is not only a great guy but an incredible armwrestler, I like him very much and I have a ton of respect for him, if I walked into a class and found out by surprise that Bryon was there I would get very serious damn quick, as he is a bad man.
Corey and Jason, both excellent top rollers, Jason has the quickest change from out to in I have probably ever seen, Vern was very complimentary of how damn strong Corey has gotten. I have felt Jason on the table messing around.. I would never take either one of them lightly, very dangerous.
Simple enough though, all of the talk, loyalty and speculation gets easily put in place simply by getting these pullers in the same bracket and seeing what happens.
You are right Casey, in watching Armtv, Jason had Bryon tied up out high and got a win on fouls, he looked comfortable out there, I doubt that is where Bryon wanted to be but with Jason you have little choice but to defend yourself out high from the start.

Yes he did but it was because they called Bryon for fouls in a breakarm twice. I thought I heard them say that but I could not believe it, two break arm fouls to a pro like Thomas.... I saw many other matches that I could not watch becuase I was sure they would be one of the two injuries I had heard about, yet I don't recall seeing break arm fouls being given. Must just have been something about the way he looked in that match to that ref I guess.

Simon,i have no doubt that you will be somewhere in top three in any class that you will pull at the nationals up to 165s (as long as an injury or a very bad draw or a killing match does not happen). i wish you the best. Thank you sir, I wish you the very best in your 165 endeavors, I may have to pull 176 in England if you are going to be there at 165.

I know Simom put him in the mix, but I think that if Mike Surplus went to more events, including Nationals, he would change some minds. He has been impressive lately, with the excepting of the Russian going to the Can-Ams this year, who also beat Gabe, I truly think Mike could be in the mix of the top 3. NO DISRESPECT to ANY of the other 54's at all. Of course this IS just my opinion after all. Simon, are you making the trip to CT again on the 17th?

I have heard that Flash actually may not be armwrestling for a while due to an infection he incurred at work that may permanently damage his left arm. If any of the PA guys see this wish him well for me.

That has got to be a pretty serious infection, I wish him the best.
Mike I think is very interesting, his hand size so I am told and what little tape I have seen really creates challenges for pullers, a lot like Soliwoda, you either have the power to grab the wrist and take him off inside or fight him off up high for the slip because he is going to force you to deal with that mitt of his.
Mike may be very much the same, it would be interesting to see him pull someone outside of that NE group but in the group I named just to see what happens. Gabe looked very comfortable holding Mike off from the pad, after of course that initial mistake of letting Mike hit him unchecked like that where he slipped very low for the loss.
In the group I named there are only say 3 hookers, myself, Thomas, and Shaloub. Then there are some guys that I think are quite good hooking and depending upon the reality of their power they might fare well against Mike if they try him inside.
The guys that really only toproll though, probably will have a very tough time with Mike and that is most of the group I named.
I would love to see him pull Rick S now, you cannot get much of a better measuring stick than that.

I talked to a few guys from Pa. and they said that the infection in Mike's hand has gotten worse and that they may have to amputate his left had at the wrist. This was told to me at AAA and i don't know exactly how accurate it is to be honest with you but the guy said he knew Mike and it sounded valid to me if any one else knows more please feel free to shoot this comment down if it is not true. This is just what someone told Willie Reagan and I at AAA.

Vern,
i am sure that i will not be as great as yourself when (if) i reach at your age.with so many health problems you have been doing great in armwrestling.i wish you speedy recovery and see you in senior class again.you are strong, capable, smart and experience enough to do what you have been doing,in the future if health problems leaves you alone.
but no matter in masters or in senior classes your presence is a great value for armwrestling world both with your athletic and personal being.i have experienced both of them and i am very happy to know someone like yourself.
there are great 154s in NA now but only you and Gabe (IMO) are to be considered as all time greats of 154s between these great active pullers.
