I say right on Jake!! To bad you'd be joining the bad guys, but i understand....lol. Rick...i think you need to chill. Armwrestling isn't ANYONE'S number one priority that I know of, and it will never be unless something professional starts. Jake's been training MMA for quite sometime...i honestly thought it was something to do with that, but being a police officerI would think is quite a bit more important than armwrestling Ray J for some money. I understand you being the promoter and event holder that you would be upset, but still....it's none of your business why Jake doesn't show.

I gotta agree with Jeremy an Bruce, And it seems Jake has no problem with not paying so why bash him . IMO thats a lil unprofessional . some of us out here gotta work an when oppurtunities present themselves you take them , I know my present employer would write someone off for showing hesitation, plans or no plans. So unless armwrestling starts paying the bills some of us work so we can armwrestle. The last time I checked even John Brzenk has a full time job.

This has been scheduled for quite some time now. How ironic that something came up only 4 days before the super match. Believe me of all people, I understand "things come up". So be it. Just remember, how you are making yourself look. As far as the me paying half up front, I didn't, but neither did you. It was agreed upon, or so I thought that we would bring the cash money. If I recall, it was you Jake that told me to bring my billfold. And believe me, I was bringing more than my billfold!! My opinion, you should own up to your half of the money. I would have. I put off work Friday and Saturday to come to Get a Grip. I have a wife and three sons that also travel to most all tournaments that I go to. So, missing out on two day's pay wasn't easy for me either.well, it's called off you backed out, another time and place Don't mean to offend you or anything, I am just so because I was really looking forward to this match. Good luck with yor police carreer though. And to that one guy who posted on here about the winnings being twice my annual salary, FYI,I work for myself. I have my own landscaping and tree service company. I have people with more sense than you pushing wheelbarrows and shoveling mulch than you will ever find up there in that airbag that is sitting on your shoulders

I'm personally not bashing Jake. I just think he should own up to what he started. He asked me to allow him to do a match at GAG and I said yes. I have spent time trying to promote this thing. It is listed in our local paper about this match that now isn't going to happen. I'll spend all day Saturday explaining this story to all the local people. I think that those of you who know me, know that armwrestling is NOT at the top of my priority list either. It's WAY down the list actually so I understand the job thing. It's not a big deal but Jake just acts like it's nothing to disrupt our tournament. Would have been nice to get a phone call explaining and possibly saying "I hate I messed you up." instead of an e-mail saying "I suck. Now Ray J can keep running his mouth I guess". I've said it on here many times, there is a tremendous lack of respect on this board. The tournament will be just fine without Jake. I really hate he couldn't come. I just think it was handled poorly. Let's let it go. Bigger fish to fry. End of story. Please.

It's funny how Mr. Smith won't pay. Wasn't it just 250 bucks?
250 is nothing. Pay up Cop. (We edited the "Cop" to not offend anyone)

Ray I saved you $250 so you should be happy but i will give it thought about paying half it seems fair but never seen it done dont really think its necessary You could either compensate him some, which you could do out of the kindness of your heart, I would take a career advancement over a $250 win any time. Jobs pay bills. On the other hand you still shouldn't be talking about how your saving Ray money. If this is the case, reschedule the match with him and raise the stakes...
