154 Tim Inman and Lee Culpepper both pulled very well. 176 SNOOOKERS!!!!!!!!! (Klemba left...of course ) 198 I think Mike West won both arms...not sure. 220 What a class! Lefty, Mark Taggart and Alex Jigalko were head and shoulders above the rest but it was a tough class and seemed to be Chris Heath's coming out. He pulled very well. Right Handed: Alex and Frank...legendary matches. Mark Taggart impressed again showing he can compete with anyone up in that weight class with either arm. Tim Mcpherson started strong beating Frank Hirst early but had a battle with Terry Burgin that seemed to be their undoing for the day. George Stanton was also in the mix in this class. Supers: Travis and Paul in the finals was great. Travis got Paul in the straps (as expected) but I think came away with a great deal of respect for the abilities and strength of Paul's right hand, wrist and arm. Truth: Travis bailed . But again, like he said, he hasn't lost a strap match since 1977 . Max Maxwell was, without a doubt the best of the rest. That right arm of his is becoming a weapon. Left Paul was cruising along until he ran into the Tennessee giant Preston Wogtec. They had a war (while Mike Griffin sat to the side licking his chops). Wogtec beat Griffen earlier in the tournament but when the smoke cleared...1) Griff 2) Wogtec 3) Walther. It was a good show. I was glad I brought my popcorn.

It seems fairly covered but straight from me.
Klemba had something up his sleeve for me, we got each other first round and I made the mistake of letting him hit me, I caught him and pulled him back and pinned him but as I was driving he was powering out with his wrist and I did something to the tendon in my inner elbow . I ditched my next match to try and get more time to recover, then in my following match Ruzic stood up nice and tall for me so I bit his wrist and hooked him it hurt like hell though
We all know this pain from the inside of your elbow radiating up your arm to you small fingers, very detrimental to a hooker in a room full of toprollers.
My next match was Worley, I was going to do the same with him but by now the pain was pretty constant, so when he had a very loose grip I thought I would try to slip out and get the strap but I could not hit with any conviction so I got stuck under his hand and I could not do anything. Maybe I should have just walked after the Klemba match but hey what are you going to do
I did not get to pull Snook but he he looked great better than I have ever seen him I would say.
Jeremy looked great in the supermatches but flat in the open class, there was a very long wait between heating up for those 3 matches and the open class as he said. The same happened to Brent he looked very impressive in the supermatches outhooking Mark Harrison but then he was not being able to heat back up again for the open class.
Good talent at the event, for now I am back at it... healing this thing up and getting ready for the Arnold, according to Snook he will be there, so we can try this again in early March on the big stage.

I get a chance to train with tim inman quite often. We have known he is a beast for quite some time. We train at Dave Patton's house in northern Virginia every thursday. Its a shame that Dave doesn't make it out to tourneys, he beats everyone at practice with ease.

Hope Team Northern VA did well; hopefully this Thursday we can get a practice after nearly a month of not pulling.

Simon I am looking forward to the "Big Stage". I'm not sure if I was lit up like Vegas on Sat., but I think I was at least lit up like a crazy Christmas tree cracked out on adrenaline. See ya in Mar.
