Some of us are having hard times too. Its free to train, and I have been on a diet for months now. I havent spent much on food, or doing many activities. We decided to drive to save airline costs, since we didnt buy flights early. So, I have cut back spending a bunch, to spend a bit one weekend, overall Im still ahead and I get to have a reason to train and something to keep as a goal.
Its tough when things are down, I feel I always need something to work to acheive.

I know I cannot afford to travel and hotel right now. Some of this comes from making the commitment to go 6 or 8 months ago. If someone wants to go then they plan and save just like Jim did. I also think that it is also related to how much you traveled before the slow down. If you didn't travel much before you won't now. Attitude has a lot to do with it IMO, the more people talk about how bad it is the worse it gets.

I just did the math, because another guy may go with us. Gas and hotel, for 3 nights, $135 per person TOTAL! Thats 4 guys driving 800 miles, and 4 to a room. Pack food for the trip, and I bet the whole weekend will be under $250.
I bet I saved that much not eating all the junk food I love:)
And the chance for National Title Number 1

Jim I used all your snack money, and doubled down on twinkies. I'm bulking up for next year so I can lose all this weight and impress people with the change.
