A 176lb Jeff Walston sent me an e-mail and said he would be home on leave during the time of this tournament. He said he felt strong but due to the lack of armwrestling tables in the middle east he was sure he had table rust. Once again the 76's are going to be stacked.

Yes... most of the team will be there; it was a small tournament last year but it looks like it will be bigger this year.

Why doesn'd Dave Patton show up at these events at least to watch and just hang out?

Dave works on the weekends. Last time he went was the Pull for Mustafa tournament.

That sucks. I'd like to meet him. A true legend. One of my first experiences with armwrestling was the "how to armwrestle" vhs tape featuring Dave, Cobra, Bucky, Travis, Olin, and Craig. Classic.

Gary it would be good to see Dave show up. "Pull For Mustafa"was the first time I met him. I hear he is still a beast.

That was a good video. I had it,,. Until one of our very own past legends boroughed it and never give it back. Per Bucky none of them ever got their $$$ for making that vid and now some company out of Missouri is keeping any and all profits from the vid for themselves.

Rick, if you leave that praying mantis home, the 54's will be wide open for you. All classes looked to be stacked with the exception of the heavys and the 54's

Actually, I take that back. After I thought about it all the classes will have good pullers in them. The 76's are by far the most stacked so far.
Here's what I know so far based on calls etc (let me know who I'm forgetting and we'll keep a roster going....)
54's Rick Laton Donald Nanney Nate Saunders Mike Jones Chris Thomas Mark Harrison Jimmy Vinero (sp) from Raleigh
76's Tommy Russell Aaron Blevins Jeff Walston Dominic Medure Johnny Edwards Gary Kessler Jeremy Kessler Paul Story Steve Shoemaker
98's Me Chris Heath Ray Berry James Retarides Daniel Story? Chad Lowder?
242's Giles Russell sr John Thornes Charles Fisk James Retarides Paul Walther
heavy's Keith Dowdy Shawn Turner Aaron Gallop Lewis Corbin
