I know that 2nd of 90kg class is from Ukraine (Rudakov) and place 3 is Dieter Spannagel from Germany. Dieter won against Ryan Clarke as far as I know. Zoloev fouled out against Janis. I'm happy for Janis, his win is well deserved. He did what seems to be unpossible, to win 75kg class against Zoloev righty.

I also got the info that there are about 850 pullers (not only 600 as written in another thread) and that this is the biggest WAF WORLD Championship ever. I can't wait to see the full results...

That's what I was thinking, he must have missed weight (187's) and there was an open spot right handed at 198 but not left. I was just wondering if anybody knew for sure.

Sorry, the infos I got about were a bit wrong. Matyushenko won 100, Georgia (Genady Kvikvinia) won 110, Pushkar won, as Christian wrote and you can see in the results, open class. Also there were "only" 40 entries in the 90kg class according to the result lists.

I did not find it here any more and I dont know were it miss but Engin Terzi wrote: "right handed i did very bad as you will see some more upsets on the results.Zoloev easily beat Janis on the first round but then had a war with the Kazakhstan guy,who easily beat me on the 2. round (who also beat Lubomir in 2007 WAF).after that war Zoloev had another war with Bulenkov, then hardly beat Swiss guy and got toprolled by Bulgarian but beat him.Janis in the final beat Zoloev and got the gold.in such tough classes it was possible to be placed any where as even Gashevski placed out of top 6. it was the toughest WAF ever without any doubts.time to rest a few months.." It was really toughest WAF with great talants in every class. In 75 kg class was 6 former WAF champions Zoloev, Terzi, Gashevski, Bulenkov, Matskevich, Haydar. And also lot of WAF and EAF medalists from previous years. There was more than 10 armwrestlers who in some different situation could potentially finish top 3. In first round I met Hadzimurat Zoloev and he surprise me and beat me with toproll in straps what I really did not expect from one of the worlds greatest hook pullers. I felt really great that day and other pullers did not give me any problems. And did not even slow me down. (no disrespect) About how mutch Zoloev was tired out. I think I had that day atleast some 3 or 4 more fights than Zoloev pulling in B side and also I had to beat every one also to get back to him in final. Our final with Hadzi was some 5-7 hours after he pulled Kazahstian, Swiss puller and Bulenkov. And I had to pull in qarter final, semi final and then met zoloev who get in final without loses. But best thing for me was to win in WORLD CHAMP when all best in this weight class is present. look at ENGINS world ranking (before WAF 2009) they all were in class Men right 78 kg 1. Khaidzimurat Zoloev, RUS 2. Andrei Chipreanov, ROM 3. Oleksandr Tsvyetkov. UKR 4. Janis Amolins, LAT 5. Timo Mikkola. FIN 6. Jafarov Fuad, AZE 7. Engin Terzi, TUR 8. Alexander Bulenkov, RUS 9. Haydar Gildil,TUR 10. Viktor Balabanov, BUL Thank You all for congrats and those who belived that I can win.
