I apologize for the inconvenience guys...I know you want it to work, some bugs during a large upgrade are to be expected and I can extend your membership for whatever days you have been unable to get the videos to play. the reason the videos are not playing for you is that (you most likely have the latest version of flash player) if you go to the flash player website they will prompt you to get the latest version BUT at this moment there is a conflict with this version/ our player and the format that I have encoded the videos. To get the videos to play you need to roll back your version of flash player to the following link. download it and install it here... www.myarmtv.com/flash%20player/flashplayer10r22_87_win.exethen restart your browser, if it still doesn't play then install Firefox and use that temporarily until we get the fix. I am sorry for the trouble...but we attempted to have that bug fixed before the upgrade and ran into some road blocks. I assure you that we will get it fixed.

snook...haven't forgot about you!! working on it.
officially 1800 matches by tomorrow morning, in three days we will have had more matches tagged than number of total videos on ARM TV. tHAT IS SIMPLY AMAZING. It is turning into a full time job just covering the edits to make sure all is legit.
We will be putting a flagging system to notify us of matches that are not working or are un fixable via the time code...for example a match is tagged where there is no match at all. This would need special attention and we are working on that.
again, thanks guys for hanging in there while the bugs are worked out.

the unknown option and overall option has been added to the list...
our thoughts are that overalls should not count towards ranking points.
feedback if you agree on this, some of the overall matches that have been tagged need to be redone with 'overall' tag and click 'no' for should it be counted as statistic

over 2000 matches have been tagged and over 450 ranking positions
to put that in perspective it has taken six years to reach 2000 videos and it has take only two days to splice it up into 2000 matches. I estimate that we have only scratched the surface for the total number of matches on ARM TV...
PROBABLY WILL END UP IN THE 50,000 AND UP RANGE when all is said and done

we passed up the number of videos on ARM TV 2151 CLIPS
2160 MATCHES TAGGED
this is phenomenal. as soon as we get the player fixed I will be on top of the moon.

Gary,
So what happens when you filmed a tourney like Get A Grip and you are going back and forth between tables..you somehow miss the match but the announcer says the competitors and says the winner ..what is the best way to handle this issue..I know for a fact this has happen to me a few times and with good wins....thanks

I am delighted for your enthusiasm, but, as I feared, I cannot watch a match. The changes have messed up my enjoyment of the site and made my subscription currently worthless. I am not going to spend more hours researching what to download and how to make something work that wasn't broke a few days ago. signed very frustrated

Ron Answered in separate thread
Chris, The ranking system is backed by video evidence. Unfortunately there are some missed matches, even more importantly missed tournaments. But overall, everyone has had a match or two missed or event, so what is more important is the trend that will have been established with the overall database and statistics. We have filmed the majority of the major events over the last six years, with probably a 95% capture rate of those events. (or better) With that we have also attempted to get a balanced variety of local to medium events around the country.
It is that area that could have more improvement. There are still some states that have not been covered and we can attempt to improve on that.
We hope these improvements to ARM TV (once bug free) can spur on membership growth that has been stagnant for the last few years. With a higher membership rate we can make sure more events are covered whether I am present or not. Even possibilities of event sponsorship, puller sponsorship, promoter incentives to have ARM TV coverage, The possibilities are endless if membership were to continue to rise.
For now though, we are a video website and the stats will be tied to video of the actual match. (I do wish to never miss a great win...or any win for that matter.) but as long as resources are scarce some matches will be missed.

duplicate names in the database... or mispelled
we are working on a back end system that will enable us to go in and fix those problems, combine some of the duplicate names or names spelled wrong. As soon as that system is complete you will see that we have fixed that. For now always default in choosing the option with the state.

what do you put for statistical win? Yes or No? How do you deside?

any matches that involve tournaments or supermatches, challenge matches will be counted towards the stats
if you tag a practice match or training with partners, that would not be a statistical win,
in fact we will add a check box for training so it could still show up in a search for training but not be counted as stat. so most of the matches on ARM TV, you would leave the box marked 'yes'
