We have a new guy I think is going to really be impressive. He has been around here and there, but just now turned serious. He is a HUGE man, and will shake things up wherever he goes. And he will be known for speed not size. Can't wait to see who this guy is Jim!!! ;D Maybe he will look up Pete's hit list?

Hey Bob dont know if your interested but there is a 220 pro and am class at my tourny march 27th. prob be 80 to 100 am entries and great trophys. No doubt, this would be the event for me. But, if I make it to this one, Pete's going to have a heart attack. I'll have to think it over carefully, for Pete's sake...lol. But seriously, even though I hate to travel, this is one event I would like to attend some day. Thanks for the info!

ArmTv will find a major sponsor (Nike, Budweiser, etc.) and become a free site for all armwrestlers to enjoy. That would be cool.

Paul Maiden will make a full and complete recovery and beat everyone in the Uk by the end of the year. Neil Pickup will finally lose his gut, drop to 198 and keep me in the no 2 spot that i'm so used to at nationals Ted Wilson will actually go to the Worlds not needing to sauna off 20lbs in 2 days Andy Barker will medal in Nevada, Arm Wars will be the biggest series of comps on the planet.

I predict that the rematch between John and Devon will be a !!!! I can see it going either way. Travis beats Denis C. left of course. Arsen will continue to climb in the rankings and will be a major threat for John and Devon.

There will be a continued shift in AW training. It will become more regimented and scientific. The ones who evolve this way will rise to the top.
The thinking behind AW techniques will change from a very basic hook, toproll, press to something more.
Bigger sponsorship is coming. I'm thinking of sponsored leagues, events and armwrestlers. With the drive it takes to become something in our sport we can make sponsors take notice. We are worth the money, we are worth being watched on TV, internet, etc.

Things I look forward to happening in 2010:
1) Better attendance at tournaments. 2009 was overall a down year mainly due to the economy...I would like to see the kind of numbers we had five years ago back at certain events 2) In particular, great events at Unifieds in Billings, MT, Worlds in Mesquite, NV, ROTN in KC continuing to grow and the World Wristwrestling Championships in Vegas. 3) The new ArmTV match tagging being "almost complete." I'm not a big fan of the ranking system, but I love how matches can be tagged by tournament for quick search.
As far as predictions go, I think that Devon will continue his domination against John. I also see a lot of wars for the top ten spots in the country as rivalries are settled many times throughout the year, particulary in the 154 and 176 classes. I also see some guys coming out of retirement to try to qualify for the Worlds this year in some of the Master's classes.
