I realize there isn't a ton of weight classes in this tourney as I am trying to build this each year to be better and more suitable for the pros. It was an all amateur last year so I changed it to open. Next year will have more classes. This is an out of pocket expense and it's hard starting off on your own. However, this is located in a perfect location right off Dixie Hwy in Elizabethtown, Ky. It is held in E-town's "Energy Gym". Last year was a good time despite the terrible ice storm we had. Evan Berkemier won the overalls. I am giving out 1st- 3rd place trophies for each class and a cash prize for the overall winner. Anyone planning to make this tourney on here? Terry and Brad Spine will be there so if anybody wants a shot at Brad this will be a good one to show up for. I pulled him today at practice and he is ready for anyone who has his number believe me!!!! Thanks

Ok here is some more news on this tourney. It is getting air-time on the local radio station here the whole month of March and Papa John's pizza is sending a flyer out with every pizza sold here. Also the gym here is giving out 3 months free membership to all the first place winners in each class (unfortunate for out of towners). Also, if anybody knows the MMA fighter Chad Corvin, a newly signed competitor with the UFC, he will be attending this tournament AND competing in the heavies. And if I didn't mention this already or if someone didn't read the last post by some chance, BRAD SPINE will be there ;D I'll put up a $100 of my own money if anybody wants to lock up with this Animal best of 3 right. That's all for now.

Heard that Jon Vogt is gonna be there. He's a heavyweight.
If anyone is trying to cut last minute weight, there is a sauna provided by the gym.

I would like to extend thanks to everyone who attended this meet. Especially to the ones who drove from Ohio and Indiana. Thankfully no one got hurt and I think we only had two set grips the whole tourney. Everyone displayed good sportsmanship. Next year I will have a full scale tourney sponsored by another gym here called E-Town Swim and Fitness on the same road just 5 miles apart from this one. I will have all the weight classes including womens. Thanks and hope to see everyone next year!!!

Hey Jonathon. had alot of fun at your tournament. I really appreciate all of the effort you are putting into the sport. Looking forward to your next event. That left hand class was stacked. Shane Vasquez and Mark Wilson were very impressive. Both of these guys at around 200 lbs beat some very good heavyweights to battle it out for the finals. NICE JOB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I have some video that i'm going to try to post when my son gets home this weekend.

This was a awesome place for the tournament. Jonathan Quinn,Terry and Brad Spine did a great job with it,almost like they run it once a week..If you didnt make it be sure to try next year!Hats off to the 3 of you! Kenny Flynn Looked AWESOME Saturday dominating the Heavy's then going on to win the Overall... Look out Guys,Kenny is fouced on being back in the sport. It will exciting to see what he will accomplish next! There was a gentleman at the event in a wheelchair who competed..I think it was his first time but went to the table and gave it all he had..That was so cool to me..He pulled some guys that had been pulling for sometime now..I liked he was not scared to jump in with some good pullers! He didnt win but you could tell he was just happy to be apart of the event! Hats off to him! But i think the highlight of his day was after the awards were handed out Kenny Flynn Went over to him and gave him his Trophy..By the look on his face you could see it made his day! Kenny is a class act! Mark Wilson is getting crazy strong with his big hands! Talked to him through out the event and i could tell he wants it bad! watch out for him! This guy is getting better with every tournament he goes to.. Keith Carter Is awesome! Had a chance to hang out with him for a while! make sure you guys go check out his Kentucky State Tournament in September! He is a great guy to have in our sport! Thanks again for hospitality Keith Evan Berkemeir keeps getting better and better everytime i see him out..Keep up the good work buddy. Jonathan Quinn is a load,He gave me all i could handle left handed..It had been a few years since i pulled him..You never know what kind of move he is gonna come at you with...See ya in a few weeks Quinn!!
