explosive starts require strength as well..static solidness provides you to hit first.they both are strong but John has better endurance and Arsen has better explosiveness.
Arsen is like a 100 meter runner who can run up to 400 meter.John is like a 200 meter runner who can run up to 1500 meter and Devon is like a 800 meter runner who can run up to 5000 meter or even marathon.
if anyone thinks that anyone who is as fast as Arsen can pin John quickly just because of speed factor,is mistaking.John's reaction may not be as fast as Arsen's but that is not only about quicker start but also about having a better 0-60 performance.Arsen has one super move and he transferred all he has into this one perfect move while John's strength, ability and concentration is divided into many different styles that make him the best well rounded athlete ever lived.for sure John knows armwrestling better than all of us including Arsen,so one either needs to overpower him or put him into a bad position to balance the match.anyone with close strength or endurance to John's,has no chance to beat John.he will find your weakness and use it to beat you.
i dont know what you guys mean by saying "strength" but strength can not be explained that simple.i believe that Arsen is as strong as John or even stronger but John's strength is 100% translated into armwrestling while Arsen's is divided between armwrestling and weight lifting.because of this John has much better co-ordination between his armwrestling related muscle groups while Arsen's is as good as his weight lifting based explosiveness.the only way Arsen to beat John was either an explosive hit to reach pin pad or again an explosive hit to put John in a terrible position to balance the match.
so in short it was a war between an explosive power that is built by extreme weight lifting training and an educated power that is built by armwrestling.weight lifting based power can provide a maximized strength for you know the amounts of the weights to be able to increase them, while in armwrestling you can train yourself as strong as your partners' performance and as good as your training partners' abilities.so it is not a white or black thing.i would choose to balance both type of trainings if my elbow was healthy but lately i realise that if i have to choose one of them i choose armwrestling training.because i know how to armwrestle and i can get more from the table trainings than the weight lifting.

Also btw it sounds the matches weren't decidedly in Arsens favor either. was there any doubt about it? during the matches both athletes were not happy with their position.Arsen has a small thumb and he pulls his thumb back to cause John to have a low grip.so when John gets his grip Arsen was complaining his knuckle and when John was asked to show his knuckle then John was complaining for having a low grip.it was so hard to please both sides but i think i did as good as possible to provide a fair grip.Arsen's wrist was bent in during the set ups and i warned him minimum 20 times but he said it happened because of John's supinated grip.so again there i had a hard time but again did my best to please both sides.there were movements during the refs grip but i had already told them long before the matches that i will try not to call any foul before the matches start.i told them i was gonna call fouls only during the matches. all i know that i reffed the match with 100% good intention and did my best to provide a fair match.i even decided to end the match with a tie (2-2) as both athletes were ok with any kind of desicion and i sure was not gonna declare a winner because of the unclear situation at the 5. round, but the sponsor Mehmet Colakoglu wanted everything to go as planned which was best out of 5. after both athletes accepted to pull oe last round i personally thought that John was gonna win the re-match because of his better endurance but i then realised that holding Arsen in such a bad position took all his power away and nothing was left for one more match. PAL has set a vendetta between Rustam n Arsen for this summer and the winner will face John in Vegas.so be ready to face incredible things this year!

PAL has set a vendetta between Rustam n Arsen for this summer and the winner will face John in Vegas.so be ready to face incredible things this year! will these matches be at 95kg again or open weight engin? i would really love to see john pull arsen again (if he beats rustam) at 95kg because of how close this first supermatch was. i think john could come back strong and take arsen if we works on his starting speed. what do you think john should work on engin? would giving his giving his rotator up straight from the go and going into a defensive hook work so that arsen as to pull through john's bicep from the start. cause it looks like if he is trying to hit into arsens hit, he is getting beaten by arsens speed and explosive power. what do you think? im sure john knows best, but it would be good to hear your thoughts.

This is just from the point of view of a fan, not a puller: I wish the sport had more money involved. With more money, maybe John wouldn't feel the need to pull various classes, and he'd stay heavier, therefore winning with less trouble, therefore less chance of injury and less wear and tear on his old(!!!) joints, therefore maybe still dominating for another 25 years.
