Well, Devon lost this weekend and a lot of people still say he is the best. So why can't George have a few losses 7 or 8 years ago and still be on top. I think what makes his matches attractive to watch is that it is not by far the "by the book style" so everyone is amazed at how he can beat the guys that he beats with his style. Kind of fun debating!

dont get me wrong,he may even win a WAF title but this needs to be proven.this year Rustam goes up to 85kg and now he has a great chance to win at 176s in WAF USA.i really hope that his wrist will also get stronger with the age ,as his arm has gotten at a certain angle.
btw,no body ever said that his arm can not be narrower than 120 degree angle, people said that it does not get any wider than that.people talks about the widest angle lock and some genius people talking about George's arm being able to have narrower angle than 120 degrees.he couldnt even use his right arm to drink water if that would be the case.my GOD help me..
congratulations to George for winning the Arnold's over Snook and Cobra.

Kind of fun debating! the thing is that Devon beat the best to be on the top and George beat the N.Americans and this doesnt provide him the top.it only provides him the top in N.America which he has it anyways.George has never been the best that is the difference.Devon beat Ron,Bagent,John and Randall...George did not beat Rustam,Arsen,Ruslan etc but lost to guys that were not the best at all.

I am not arguing that George is the best in the world, just that he is good enough to be ranked in the top 10. Hopefully he will attend the Worlds this year and show everyone what he is capable of doing.

Hopefully he will attend the Worlds this year and show everyone what he is capable of doing. that is what i also want and i will be the first one to congratulate him when he wins it,but still 1 WAF title does not make anyone the best ever.Rustam has 14 of them and he won all at 176 except 2 of them at 154s. my argument is receiving a glory without deserving it.yes that he is the KING of the Arnold classic! but Arnold Classic is not the toughest 176s in the World.in N.America George has been the King without any doubt.if he wins 5 WAF titles at 176s then i will consider him one of the best 176s ever.Rustam has been winning WAF since 2002 except 2003 where they didnt get visa.

I agree that Rustam's achievements prove that he is the best 176 puller ever.

I agree also that Rustam is the best 176 ever...but give some freakin credit to the almost 60 year old man from canada who continues to make men half his age look foolish...there is no doubt that George should be top ten in the world..i hope he comes to WAF in vegas and smashes everyone so SOME of you would finally give some respect although even if he did go and win im sure SOME of you would come up with more EXCUSES on why he won and how he really isnt that good ...ridiculous

I think everyone agrees with you, Justin. But he can't be ranked #1 until he attends the events and beats the guys from all over the world. Is he good enough? I think he is. But what I think doesn't rank people. Wins do.
Just like I think what Don did against Devon makes Don an elite contender. It doesn't bring Devon down, though. But it does bring Don up. Don has always been a bad dude. What he had to work on is consistency and it appears he's done it- by anyone's standards. The guy deserves to be talked about with the best of them. I personally cannot wait to see his match with Ron Bath. Those two styles are as different as styles can be. This will be something to see.

i give him credit as much as i believe he deserves till now,if he does it more then he receives more but he will not receive before he deserves it.he deserves to be mentioned the best 176 in N.America and possibly one of the best in the world under 176 but not proven yet.
about the "disability" or "strength" we all have our opinions but as long as he pulls within the rules there is no excuse for this matter.
i will congratulate him as the first one when he wins his WAF title in USA this year.

Engin you are right if he pulls within the rules , then ok , but ive always wondered if he is so strong naturally and does not have something wrong with his arm looking at his build he not exactly intimidating looking, why does he not pull left arm most guys that have a natural strength for this sport can pull either arm???

George can pull with his left arm, but it is nowhere near as good as his right. George has been pulling for over 30 years and when he started left hand classes were not offered at tournaments. You will notice that many people who have been pulling for 25+ years only pull with their right arm.

I dont care how it looks, or how many people do not like it. Crazy George is World class puller! And a hell of a nice guy as well. He should go into LEGEND status!

Hey Engin I hope you can make it to the world this year and have the balls to pull 176 class, you have a lot of medals from the worlds and you are consider one of the best ever as well (big fan of yours by the way) but I'm willing to bet any money that if you two meet he will beat you, and I'm not trying to disrespect you in any way, just my personal opinion...

^ Engin's right is injured...
what place did Chris Chandler get at Worlds in 2007 (same year Crazy George beat him at the Arnold)? I couldn't find the results for Worlds anywhere but if I am not mistaking, Chris was there...?

Marcelo: balls aside, I don't think any of Engin's WAF medals have ever been at 80kg. I could be wrong, but it's what I think.
