So does water boarding I hear. Priceless! Water boarding is more fun, though. Allen Hester is one of the greatest friends I have ever made through this sport. I wasn't on the board when Allen got banned, so I cannot comment on that at all. I can say that the man is one of the most intelligent, thoughtful people I have ever met in my life. Allen and Nancy will be lifelong friends for me. I personally would like to hear Allen's perspective on this board. I'm sure Bill will give Allen a chance to come back. He was one of the most entertaining members of the board. He just needs to more carefully word his opinions on race relations and such.

Thought provoking to some, or offensive as he was perceived to others, I think it is absolutely hilarious that a thread was started to talk about him AFTER he has voluntarily left the board. 5 pages and he isn't even here to rebut any of these comments or concerns that other users have posted. Whether you agree with what he said, or not, you are still talking about him. Maybe shaking this board up like he did is what it needed? I think that those who had the biggest problem with him should seek out a way to pull him in a supermatch or at a sanctioned tournament. Settle it like a man, no BS namecalling or threats if your feelings got hurt, do it on the table. That's what we're here for right? That's the problem with message boards, everyone is an internet tough guy and wants to sit in the privacy of their own home not wanting to actually disagree with someone in real life. Have the sack to voice your opinion in person, challenge someone to a match, and accept the outcome. Most people have forgotten what it means to be a man these days, putting yourself on the line and standing up for what you believe in.

Just curious, at what point in the "hierarchy" of armwrestling are you exempt from getting your balls busted from time to time? I'm almost positive that's all Mac was doing with John, or at least that's how I looked at it. All in fun until people started be "offended".

Have the sack to voice your opinion in person, challenge someone to a match, and accept the outcome. Most people have forgotten what it means to be a man these days, putting yourself on the line and standing up for what you believe in. With all respect are you not being a bit selfish? Your proposal is utopia. I think it's good people can express their support to Mac on this thread and those who feel disrespected and insulted can vent a little. They know the rules of the board now. How much pulling could Mac take after John? Is there anybody who is ready to travel and pay money to arm wrestle Mac "to be a man" as you said? How do you know Mac is not satisfied with this thread and his "15 minutes of fame" globally? Do you want to take that away from him? But I believe you are right about there wouldn't be so much strong disagreements in person. This (unfortunate IMO) incident would not have happened. I also think it's better to resolve what came in the message board to be settled in the message board. It's not good to make it physical. We can all understand Mac is not like his character here when met in real life. We just have to listen and believe those who know him in person. It's good to have their voice to be heard also. Many people will meet him face to face someday and I hope most prejudice and emotions are left here and not carried around in the real world. Selfish? No. Utopic? Probably. All I was getting at is that people who have differences with one another on an armwrestling message board, might want to take care of them by armwrestling. I agree that making something physical is not the answer, but what happened to settling your differences on the table? I am not for or against Mac and what he said. This a public forum to talk about armwrestling where personal opinions and point of view are encouraged. If people don't like that, maybe message boards aren't for them. My initial comment was intended to convey that regardless if people liked what Mac said or not, they are still talking about him and what he said. I find it very humorous. Some people don't, to each their own. By inadvertantly explaining my prior post, Mac is now up to 6 pages. That is pretty funny if you think about it... Tero you sound like an intelligent guy, thanks for the conversation.
