Scott - Per our phone conversation I will leave your information on the site. Again once I get through this next event we will have a better system worked out and this information will be free to all Pullers
I am leaning more towards sending out disclosures to everyone and making this information 100% public as it originally was! My concern was even though you guys and Gals knew when you submitted your information to John it was going to be public information you never authorized the UAL to do so. Again we took over Johns "Company" so its legal but we want to cover all basis and make sure everyone is aware that their information will be on the UAL site.
We are honest and upfront people, however if you don't want to be a part of the UAL we will gladly remove your information.
Thank You

Yet another reason I don't feel armwrestling is going in the right direction...A free site is now a pay site, people making money off the backs of those who make the sport what it is!! I don't care if this upsets anyone, I've been involved in Armwrestling for 25 years & have never seen so many people who claim to help our sport make money by us doing what we do!!!
Glad now that I have been away...

Josh - Read the entire Thread before making dumb remarks.... Besides who in the history has ever made money off Armwrestling? Huh? I sure as heck don't!

That's the way to get support for a new organization, by offending very respected pullers who don't agree with your approach. Pretty disappointing response, Robert, especially when you are the face of the UAL.

I don't have a problem with the UAL absorbing or using that other free website. The problem I have is that due to "technical issues" that same free information is only available to those who pay. Weird.

I know that I am getting tired of hearing people complain about everything that he does, so I'm SURE that he is. The man is trying his best to turn this sport into something more than just the "Bar room sport" that everyone perceives it to be. Is he doing it because he loves the sport or because he ultimately wants to make a wad of dough off it? Who cares? What he is doing can only be good for the sport. I have heard people complain that he will be just like others before him and that eventually he will just fade away and won't put on anymore big money tournaments. You are exactly right if he does it the way others before him have done it. Even Donald Trump would eventually run out of money if he kept throwing it in a black hole. The man has got to have SOME way of recouping some money. Armwrestlers near you was a really nice tool. I used it myself from time to time. People want it. That's the point. He needs to add things to his monthly package that people want. Something else to make his membership worth the money. Again, no money, EVENTUALLY no UAL and then my friends you are right back where you started. Cut the man some slack people.

i gotta agree with mr rick latton on this one. i'll start be adding the fact that i'm still a "newb" , but i think i know enough to have an educated opinion on the topic. armwrestling is a sport. it seems like there's always alot of pullers frustrated at the fact that armwrestling gets no mainstream love. no recognition. which is also one of (if not the) leading reasons there is no money in it. granted, there's scattered events from time to time that pay, but nothing consistent. at best i think it's safe to say that you definately aren't going to make a living off of it. now, there's the old school guys who can sometimes seem like they don't want it to ever get out of the bar, the backyard or the fairgrounds. period. and that's fine for them. but, i believe that the majority of armwrestlers today are chomping at the bit to be able to turn on espn on a weekend and watch an armwrestling highlight reel or even possibly themselves in a hot match that got aired. who knows? what i see from the ual is a powerhouse of an organization that has the drive, determination, and the means to take this sport to that level. if not them, who? don't get me wrong - i know there's hella other legues out there whom have been around the block and are developed, organized, and efficient. however, i don't see any other organizations promoting and grinding and getting "in your face" about armwrestling like the ual has been. maybe it's because i'm in california, but you know what, people who thought armwrestling was just a mythical passtime now know about it and may even engage in the sport simply because the ual has put it out there for everyone to see. and their venue's - who else is doing it big like them? no offense to anyone, and please don't take my comments the wrong way (afterall, i'm just a newb). but from where i can see, the ual is coming up fast! mr robert drenk and mr neil pickup are teamed up and shooting for the sky. it's a business. they gotta make money to be able to pay out those tempting purses at their tournaments. i didn't use to have to pay for the water i was using in my home. things changed, now i have to pay for it. but hey, i still use it! (lame example, i know - but most free services aren't free forever).

People need to stop trying to make arm wrestling all about themselves and making arm wrestling about arm wrestling. AND HATERS that can't revolutionize the sport need to sick back and watch the people that are attempting and no matter the outcome applaud their efforts. Thanks Robert and Bill and Neil.

oops...i forgot to mention mr. bill collins in my ual rant. it's thanks to bill, robert and neil, and their vision of a global armwrestling alliance that i believe armwrestling WILL go to that next level that so many have seemingly been trying to achieve.

Glad now that I have been away... I have to agree with Robert Drenk. This is a really disrespectful comment. and also Johns comment was very rude. I have done a little research on Robert Drenk. He isnt trying to retire off of armwrestling. Robert is already very sucessful. Armwrestling is a hobbie for him, and he is trying to make this sport popular. So instead of bad mouthing and being disrespectful, maybe a little praise should be given.
