Genesis 6:3
3 Then the Lord said, “My Spirit shall not abide in man forever, for he is flesh: his days shall be 120 years.”
I know there are more than one way to interpret this verse, but the way I take it is this......
GOD has now limited man to 120 years old maximum. He created him and he can limit how old he lives to be. In the days before the flood, men lived to be over 900 years old. Methuselah was reported to have died at 969 years old. Noah at 950. Yea I know. It's just a book (Genesis) that was written some 3500 years ago. In this same book they talk about people living to be 900 years old and then GOD says " I will limit man to 120 years old". Now there are a lot of numbers between 969 and 1. It's amazing to me that in the time since we began keeping accurate records only one person (That I found) has lived to be older than 120 and they lived to be 122. Could we be off in the records since this exception was at the beginning of our more modern record keeping? She was reported to be born in 1875. The oldest man on record is reported to have been 115 when he died. The man who died today was 114.
Coincidence??? Let's here your thoughts.

120* = 1/3 of a circle = 1/3 of the Holy Trinity. In a normal day we sleep 8 hours, work 8 hours, family for 8 hours. 120* or 1/3. Oreo cookie = 2/3 delicious cookie and 1/3 creamy filling (our life). How's that?

according to the bible a lot of things changed at the flood just like i mentioned before that before the flood it didnt rain but a mist came up from the ground
Abraham lived around 180 years if i remember right and by the time it got to Joseph he lived 110 years
according to the bible during the 1000 year that Christ rules some will be around a 1000 years old-----------if i read that correct about those who return with him
according to the bible the rainbow was given as a covenant between God and man after the flood as Gods promise that he would never destroy the earth by water again

The Bible is accurate in it's reflection of man's time spent here on Earth. Science cannot prove it wrong despite the time hence passed and it (The Bible) has stayed true to it's word. End of Story.

It's a very interesting question. For instance, Okinawans have the longest life span on earth. It's very common to live past 100. You'd think that if anyone was going to break out of the 120 cap the odds are that it would be somewhere where 100 is the new 80.
I have heard Tibetans live a long time too, but I've not heard of anybody passing 120.
Score one for the Bible.

we do not know the list of the oldest people in the world in last 5.000 years. www.dailymail.co.uk/news/worldnews/article-1047397/The-worlds-oldest-man-dies-age-138.htmlwww.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,407001,00.html not every single human life is known by us and oldest people ever do-did not have to live in near history. In 1930 Professor Wu Chung-chieh, dean of the department of education at Chengtu University, found records that the Imperial Chinese Government had congratulated one Li Ching-yun in 1827 on his birthday. The birthday was his 150th, making the man who died last week—if it was the same Li Ching-yun, and respectful Chinese preferred to think so—a 256-year-old. www.time.com/time/magazine/article/0,9171,745510,00.html#ixzz1K4aGtMY0 en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Li_Ching-Yuen not everything in the history is recorded according to Guinness Book of World Records. a man's (who died at 122 years old) grave stone; www.grg.org/CalmentFraud.html148 years old; wikimapia.org/18478613/Talib-Samejo-Oldest-Living-Person-in-the-world
