"Then the suspect struck the victim quarreled fatal stabbing. In addition, available data show that a detainee may be involved in the murder and robbery, committed in April 1999", - said the Head of Public Relations Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia Valery Gribakin. I'm confused, does this mean that he stabbed a guy when he arrived back in Russia, or that this is what happened with the alleged murder? Personally, I think the whole thing sounds a bit fishy. I wonder if he was actually some sort of government agent in some sort of witness relocation. I talked to him (through a translator) quite a bit at Worlds, and he had mentioned that he was working on getting his family over to the US. Didn't seem too shady, but I guess you can never tell. Just remember, at least in the eyes of the US law, he's innocent until proven guilty. Until then I'm not going to judge. I do think he should obviously be removed from the rankings though. ;D

Im not sure exactly what to make of it. Was Roman even over there during the alleged 1999 incident?

Well he didn't have any problem when I asked him to do a picture with me (once it was translated) which I put all over Facebook. I say innocent til proven guilty; free the World Champ!

I hope there's a mix up and he's not even involved with this. I have a hard time believe the justice (which can be interpreted "just for us") system is intelligent enough to be so accurate to catch someone so far away but, not impossible I guess.. Champion on the table doesn't mean a Champion in life but, both do help one another I believe.

What is so odd about it. It will all narrow down on witnesses and DNA if he committed these cowardly acts of murder. If he guilty based on evidence then he will pay for it.
Him having Papers to come to the USA is not easy to come by. He apparently had to pay lots of money to get the documents he had with a false Identity. People from other countries do it all the time, people are also smuggled on a daily basis by "Coyotes" ...I mean the papers are the least of his problems.
I understand him and Vazgen are great friends. But unless they were childhood friends Vazgen just knowns the person with a fake ID in a personal level. And if Vazgen knows only Roman the Armwrestler and nothing prior, then Vazgen should not get to much involved. JMO
This entire unfortunate story of the victims and possible Suspect, is not rocket science. A lot of people have a skeleton in their closet.

I wonder how the justice system is in Russia. I'm curious as to whether or not Roman... or Jambul will get a fair trial. I don't know much about the situation, but their media sounds like they've already found him guilty.
