Thats funny and true rob. Watched a show on discovery channel a month or so back, testin different scenarios on marijuana, cocaine & heroin. The cocaine actually did give the individual a strength & confidence increase....until he came down & didnt have another line. Then crashed.Yep, its just as illegal as steroids here in the u.s., but yet i dont see a bunch of coke threads, sayin the cost & heallth problems it causes. Why would you see those threads? They aren't a problem natural pullers face. It's steroids users that's the problem. Cocain and heroin use is a problem of communities, not a sport that has so many steroid abusers. WHICH is why there are steroid threads. Ya it prolly won't ever get stopped. But we can work on getting more tested events, starting with National tournaments. Maybe at some point we can implement this. All I see from people complaining and arguing for steroids is perhaps someone who doesn't want to have to face testing or come off a cycle too soon because of a tested event.

I say do testing at every event in the us, test every 1st place puller and you will still be losing to the same people you are complaining and arguing about losing to now because there are drugs out there that take only days to be able to test "clean" or because they are not using at all and really are just that damn good and people love having the " hes on steroids, that's why I lost" excuse

Testing at every event, and every 1st place would be excellent. It won't stop everyone of course, but it's the best we can do and we need to do it. I know money is a big issue for testing but as the sport hopefully grows, maybe in the future we can at least start by testing every 1st place at the bigger events like nationals.

And im all for testing. Hell, if someone else is paying for it, u can test me at every tourn i go to. I just started pulling opens and i suck. Im not against testing whatsoever. I have NEVER done a cycle, but thats not to say that i wont in the future. I just dont care for those whining about something where there knowledge is limited on the subject their whining about or make blanket statements that make them look silly to the people that the statements dont apply to.

I've never been on the juice, never plan to be, and I'm sure I've beat a couple that were on a cycle. I'm not gonna argue that it wouldn't give you an edge but I will argue that it doesn't make you unbeatable even by someone not on the juice. Point is, those who whine about juicers, do you train your hardest? Do you train consistent? Do you train with pullers you can learn from? Do you plan on training consistently without an end in sight? If there were no juicers in the sport then would you believe you'd be at the top? If you can't answer yes to all these questions then that explains the whining... A debate here are there I understand but, not 5 or 6 threads at once.

BTW, I can't say that I've trained my hardest for more than 3 or 4 months steady without taking another 3 to 4 month break in between so, I can't complain about what others do if I haven't done my best. I also believe that if/when I train my best I will be the best.

cause you cant promise 80 x 1o classes plus trophys or cash at every tourney all has to do with $$ unless your charging 25$+ a class and hand out .50 cent medals

point is in my book steroids will not make me or any couch potato lance armstrong it just wont happen im on multiple supplements and only since i have been back into gym have i seen any increase from them but... then again they could have been useless and the fact that im back in the gym has been the only reason for my increase to those who are on or off hats of to you whether youd like to prove your self by not taking it good and those who take hate off to you for taking a risk in getting caught

My point of this thread wasn't about talking up drinking and drugs.... I'm sure the people on here with a little common sense got that. It was a sarcastic attempt to talk about " performance enhancing drugs".... And to some degree.... There are valid points in what I'm saying under all the baloney. Think.... Police have unloaded a full clip on an enraged/ dangerous criminal on PCP and the guy doesn't even slow down.... Then after being filled with holes it takes half the police force to take him down.... That's performance enhancing if you ask me too. On the flip side, I choose not to worry if someone shows up on PCP to a tournament..... Or any other drug I have no control over. Sure, I have my own opinions, but that's where it stops, you gotta realize when you are fighting a losing battle.
As far as testing winners.... Well, think a minute about this scenario...
You take a guy like Devon who is a solid favorite in a class. You take said talented puller that made big gains "using". These 2 meet up early on and have a WAR... A war that would never have been had had that gap not been bridged. Now Devon is say 50% of what he was instead of 95 like he should have been by having quick matches. As both scrape and crawl through the classes, maybe Devon with his endurance manages to place and the guy who may have been second best in the class.... The guy who solely was responsible from taking that forward charge off the favorite has been put out before finals. He never gets detected.... He didn't even place, yet his place in the event, as insignificant as it seemed on paper in the placings shifted the whole class.. And no one knows any different because his placement didn't warrant a test.
There have been well known Olympians caught using.... And they know they are gonna get tested. You think the AW lottery of testing will help ? You think testing everyone at every event will? Like I said.... Ronnie Coleman tested clean at a whole boat load of events.... The DAY OF .
It's no different than the war on crime, as technology advances there are people trying to beat the system and crack the code.
Insanity is defined as doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result.
I used to bitch A LOT, got me no where... It is what it is.

I totally agree with you Rob,the testing post was for the crybabys who want to do something about it,if the tourny was a tested event,i would not go and waste my time..but thats jus me..but im not that good of a puller so it may not effect me!..I jus canyt understand why some of these guys come on here and bitch and then do nothing about it?..if it aint gonna change then why complain?...i dont understand whats wrong with using in a sport with absolutely no monitary gain?

Agreed Rob & Travis... if we're not gonna test then why beat a dead horse?
I was for having Am. & pro classes... Only the Am. classes get tested. Pros dont as it understood most of those guys use some form of PED or other banned substance... Thats how Powerlifting Feds do it & it works for them... mostly.
