Hello Armwrestling Friends,
A thread here for a day or 2, where i could read something about "genetics" or being "superior" brought me to make this thread for my Aw-friends.
In my Club...i teach all new Aw-Padawans that want to go thru my school about what i call a lesson of "8 wild horses"...you have heard and know a lot if it if not all of the contents for sure...i just want to show you, how i figure out to put it together to teach it to the younger Athletes with fun... if you like this then read further and share your opinion in a positive way, if not then please just click another thread..thank you very much.

Okay now...
I want to share some simple points about genetics in general first:
Genetic is important for sure...no doubt...once we agree about the term itself what is meant by genetic at all:
In general "genetic-superiority" in any sport is/means a "given thing" ...it can not been builded new or being achieved thru activities... a quick example for armwrestling : long Arms/long fingers and so on...you can make your arm/fingers stronger but not longer as far as i know so far ;D (by training only). I think we agree all here with enough know-how.
But now..
No matter how we set the different definitions about good genetics for all different sports....
its mostly important when all other parameters: (The 8 wild horses)
[glow=green,2,300]
1-"training-quality"
2-"training-frequency"
3-"technique-quality"
4-"game-experience"
5-"post/pre-game-nutrition"
6-"post/pre-game-recovery"
7-"Energy/Power release abilities"(also known as "strong will")
8-"life/sport Balance"[/glow]
and some other related side-points
are all optimized (horses tamed) together and already on a really high/highest level.
The reality shows us that in most cases its truly not....its a simple truth.
Under these circumstances then its logical that a correct comparison is very difficult if possible at all.
Only If we could take 2 Athletes (same weight/height) and put them on the same coordinated & 24-7 coaching-escort (with all the tasks/parameters mentioned above) with a pre-defined time-frame(for Armwrestling at least 5 Years)....and look at the outcome. then we would have reproducible results...very few would want to do that...and i understand that. ;D
file----------------unknown.
Do i think that at the end of the day the 1 with the better genetics will have a better results with all circumstances that is mentioned above after all 8 horses are tamed to pull his hard worked carriage?
I say...Yes.
Do i think that both Athletes would be the best or near the best Athlete that they could be and this is the only thing that really count at the end for both of them within their abilities?
I am very sure here...Yes.
Finally...Do i think that the second Athlete with a so called "inferior build/genetics" is competitive enough then for the top competitions that he wants to be part of it no matter which & where?
My only answer here is now...Yes.
*********************************************
So Athletes....i recommend you to keep the view and energy on The "8 wild horses"...there is so much to do......there is so much to understand........there is so much to overcome to bring all 8 horses in one line in front of your Carriage.you then will be successful with or without superior genetics..
stay healthy & thank you all.

Hi AK,I think your post is awesome, and u are in the right track there....I think everything is about motivation, good genetics is a big play in the game, however a outstandind dedication could make a great champion, the example of the eight wild horses, its a challenge for the beginners, and how they will take this challenge will answer them how succesfull they could be,having a good genes or just a goal with determination....Marcio Barboza
