I think Chandler did an amazing job for someone whose hand and wrist appeared to be fried, which pulling a Nationals will do to anyone. John's awesome, of course, and maintained total control, so it's hard to know if Chandler was as fried as it looked or if John just had him totally contained.

Was there a weight limit for his match with John? I'm wondering why Chris would diet down from 260ish?? instead of coming in big vs. John.

Chris pulled and won the 220 left and right hand national titles then pulled john in a supermatch

not to start anything...but why would Chris take on a fresh John B after a nationals?
if john was fresh, he appeared to have a hard time with Chris even with the hand control.
just wondering....Chris never had his hand in this fight.

Well as far as I understand things Chris's left arm is his better arm. Didn't he place higher at WAF in the US (I think 2010) with his left arm? Perhaps at this particular tourney he didn't feel anyone could tire his left arm?
It was indeed ballsy to face John After a Nationals! Wow. Maybe John should have entered nationals leftie too, to make it more fair?
Lastly and this is a noob's opinion, I think even fresh, Chris couldn't take John's hand. Not saying he couldn't win, but I just don't think he can take his hand.

I don't think he could take John's hand, either- but he'd have had a lot more luck staying in position and applying leverage to John's arm if his own hand wasn't taken. John played very smart going to the strap for leverage, so even without a hand Chris must have felt very strong to John.

Just fyi, and not to take anything away from any of the 220's who were at National's, but Chris won the 220 lefty class very easily from what I saw. John and Chris are both amazing armwrestlers!!! Sorry to hear Chris got hurt, I wondered what had happened... I hope he is able to compete at World's still.
Chris pulled National's because he had been planning to pull National's and go to Brazil since before the UAL set up him and Brzenk's match. I was told he wanted to go to Brazil first and foremost, hence why he still pulled National's (and cut to 220), even though he had the match with John afterwards.
