Charlie, good post. Personally i dont blame for top guys using steroids if they choose to do it. Every sport at olympics next month has drugs involved in it. Every single one of them. Heck even the shooters take stuff to slow their hearth beats and not to shake on their hands. Anyways, back to armwrestling it is what it is. I personally was against drugs for years but recently i have an admire for those guys who takes it to the next level at top rankings. To me an average joe doing steroids for armwrestling is stupid as return on investment is so little. But at elite level I am not against it. If i knew I had the chance to become a waf champhion then I would do it. Arsen is a nice guy, i met him three times at three different tournaments and consider him as a fellow friend in armwrestling. I have seen him grow thru out the years from 70kgs to 103kgs recently. There is not much to say about this transformation. I respect it if not anything. I dont know how much the drugs helped him or not but regardless this is an exceptional super talented sportsman. You can take a good 70kgs athlete and load him up with all you can find but still not get anywhere close to where Arsen is today. This thread im hoping is not intended to accuse but to admire and that is why i was involved. Hopefully that clears at least where i stand. Can not talk for rest of the americans but im sure they feel somewhat similar to what i think.

I can't believe this is still a topic... On the GRIPBOARD this would have been closed immediately. Accusing or saying someone is on steroids should earn you a ban on the forums because you can ruin someones reputation and career by spreading and assuming your own bullcrap.
Why don't you all just worry about your own training and give others the benefit of the doubt because they clearly work VERY hard regardless of any supplementation they use.

I personally use gear and I dont see any problem with it. Being in the rugby sport you need that extra drive in your game. I personally know that 80% of my team is on gear. As for armwrestling i have said it before that you all need that extra drive for these workouts. I have enjoyed the new workouts that i have learned from you tube videos.

I think Arsen is good for the sport. He is built like an Armwrestling champion SHOULD look. It would be good for tv. He has a unique build specifically for armwrestling.

Drugs or no drugs, the man trains super Fkn hard to get where he's at! He would've been elite level regardless Imo!! Not a disparaging word from me... The man's a beast!!

Just wanna say something about doping... ive been robbed during 10 years at WAF and EAF by persons getting some juice, so if somebody wanna be "on" in a not controlled tournament, i could agree but when some people are cheating in a so called " no drugs tournament" its another story, i pay every year my plane ticket hotel and as well hard training to finally be stolen, this is just my 2 cents, but anyway....

Beautiful & deep words in a beautiful but stolen world that we call a free world of opportunities. thanks pascal...you are a Champion!. but some kind of in danger of extinction. Some will tell you that they still have to train hard as their point, to act as if it matters in any context..but it don´t matters at all...never had...never will if one really think honestly about it...maybe to those who not even understand the meaning of the word..."hard" (the whole spectrum behind it) or have their own explanation about it. Some will tell you it is the next level, which is a bigger joke in itself, which no 1 can honestly even discuss about....level?...level of what? A definition of honor is lost somewhere...
A definition of an Athlete is sold...
A definition of a fist fight is sponsored by a knife...
What a big disgusting multi-billion masquerade in fact. Champions !?!...Pain!?!...hmmm. People want to know which is the newest/badest drug?? can not answer that but hush hush baby surely is an old good working drug...little tones but very effective to every child!. People talking about being kind & respectful to each other. But the definition of those words changes often for them on a daily basis with their weekly goals. The human nature/psyche is build to adapt to life-circumstances. This fact is sometimes a blessing for us and sometimes a cancer!.
This you will find behind a lot of groundless & helpless discussions. Nowadays... a lot of modern heroes are in fact zeros...but other zeros are the fans of those heroes caused by their own life-circumstances & so called modern society. Its sad but true. At the end everything matters if you matter to yourself. look in the mirror pascal and be proud of yourself. There are still a lot of people out there that look up to you. For those, who gonna hate me or misunderstanding me for breaking this lance: Catch this before throwing any stones: i will not be mad at you at all and i am neither shooting the old Sheriff nor the Deputy...cause in my reality both of them are not really the reason for our really weak circumstances..but we are!. Thank you for sharing your honest thoughts Pascal Girard!.I am appreciate it. Have a nice day everybody and good bye.

Charlie say what you gotta say. As much garbage that gets posted your statements barely are a drop in the bucket. You have as much right as anyone to voice your concerns. If they don't like it they can piss up a rope.

I think Pascal is exactly right.
There are events geared toward both. Pull the events that apply to you. If you take the juice, stay away from events designed for clean athletes. There are plenty of open events with no rules against juicing. If you take drugs, that's where you belong. No harm, no foul.
To me, a person on the juice competing in a tested event is the same as a Pro armwrestler traveling to a town where nobody knows him so he can pull Novice to win a trophy. Only a punk would do it.
