I sure hope we have a huge turnout. What got me into pulling was the series of amateur tournaments I went to at Appleton's last Summer. Single elimination no advertisement just sign up while you were there and pull hard. They had an average of 4-5 women and 15-20 guys at each tournament. I've tried to advertise the heck out of this tournament and this should be their biggest crowd of the year and if only 20 local guys show and a dozen TAA members show up we should have close to 50 entries. Andy, look me up if your on Facebook and join the event I have set up. I know of a out 15 who have confirmed but you can never tell until the tournament starts. You should see a good mix of people from novices with a good amount of experience to newbies that have never pulled before.

I got a Supermatch with Eric Self best of 5 right handed with a custom aw table on the line. We will have at least $100.00 gift card for overall left, right, and the womens class. I also gonna have gift cards for 1st place winners to a local restaurant and depending on the turnout all the $$ will go back to the first place winner in each class after all costs are covered and the refs get a little something. Gonna be doing some after pulling too.

They are giving away the brand new free Harley sometime after the tournament but before 8pm and all you have to do is purchase any item from a key chain to a new roadster. You must be present to win so your odds are better than the pick 3 lottery! I would love to turn this into an annual competition and I was questioned by a couple people on figuring out how to give away a motorcycle to the winner of a future Harley tournament. Wouldn't that be nice?!?

Yeah, but I'm not sure how big just yet. I have about 10 heavyweights confirmed, 6 middle weights, and 5 light weights. These are folks that told me they would be competing (most right and left both). There are usually 15-20 people ready to pull at any Appleton's event, and this is the most advertised event to date. I have flyers around town and at all the hot spots, we were mentioned in the newspaper along with 3 online news sites. They are advertising on the radio and I'm driving my buddies nuts on facebook. I hope to have double digits in each weight class including the womens class but this is my first tournament. Jason Gulley, Jackie Johnson, James Worke, Eric Walls, Doug Allen, will be a few of our open pullers in the house helping out and partying it up with us. I wouldn't be surprised if the classes doubled by go time on Saturday. You'll have some strong competition and a good time. (Plus it's always fun to pick on big bad bikers that dont know what they are getting themselves into)

Thanks to all! Eric for letting me win the table, Worke, Walls, Gulley, and Especially Doug Allen for the great job reffing. The Alabama boys did well, along with Taylor and Delmar Carter the man with the magic mitts! No injuries, almost 50 entries, and a heavy right class of 12! Wish we could turn down the heat a bit but other than that I had a blast. Free beer is also always good!
