World Top 10, men right 1. Denis Cyplenkov, RUS = Devon Larratt, CAN 2. Michael Todd, USA 3. Andrey Pushkar, UKR 4. Krasimir Kostadinov, BUL 5. Arsen Liliev, RUS 6. Genadi Kvikvinia, GEO 7. Khadzhimurat Zoloev, RUS 8. Sergiy Tokarev, UKR 9. Todd Hutchings, USA 10. Tim Bresnan, USA
I don't think they are finalized yet. Discussion is on whether Hutchings should be above or below Zoloev. I think above since it is and unlimited rankings and Hutching beat Zoloev 6-0 where as Zoloev only won once in an overall.
My bigger question is which one of us weaklings is going to crack that list anytime soon?? Come on who has the will to make that damn list???

There can only be ONE and until proven otherwise Devon is the alpha. I feel it's a slap in the face to Devon to have him co listed under another puller. It also cheapens elite pullers status. You can't be politically correct. If Denis doesn't like being ranked 2 all the more incentive for him to challenge Devon and become 1. Engin is a very knowledgeable man with a very refined grasp on the sport. You can't please everyone though.

Thanks.
My opinion on the Devon thing is that it seems fine. Denis is the interim champion while Devon is recovering from his surgery. I for a fact think that Devon would absolutely wipe the floor with Denis lol. Hopefully that match can be set up. I would be more interested in it left handed though because once Devon is up to his former self I see it going 6-0 easily right handed for him. It's possible he could do the same thing left handed after seeing what he did to Pushkar.

I also suspect that Devon wasn't training is right with much intensity in the leadup to his MLA match with Tim; it may be that Devon was just holding out on the decision of surgery until he could get a lefthand match in June with the world champ (Pushkar) and then he took over the #1 spot so that he could maintain his status and dominance going forward through recovery, only this time through his left. Also, the topic here is exactly why Engin wants to set up a Tournament- and a Supermatch ranking system for 2013 and onwards. For very obvious reasons the pecking order that is to be regarded as final and that everyone should be gauged by should squarely be based on a supermatch format. If there isn't enough supermatches in a year, then toughies. And in that case the above Top 10 ranking is merely a patchwork of educated guesses that doesn't carry as much weight, regardless of who formulates it.

Dave Chaffee could make this list if he wanted... Could and actually doing are two different things. I am going to try to make this list. That is my ultimate goal. Dave can't make this list right now. If you can Dave then prove me wrong and make the list . We need more Americans on it.

I watched as much of Nimiroff as my ISp would allow me. I saw you chomp down on our champ, yes. Congratulations. I never said that Devon wasn't training. I said "much intensity". Arthritis etc, and many of his problems he brought into your match. Devon never made any excuses for why you had him on the ropes and I'm not trying to take anything away from your performance, Tim. That was not the focus of my reply above, I haven't made Devon to be a liar in any way at all. In my opinion, you are the King of the Armwrestling Motherland, as Engin put it. And give me some time, old man, I'm coming for you! ;D

My number one issue with the European vs North American pullers is we don't have a legitimate consistency to base the rankings. Europeans very rarely come here for obvious monetary reasons. When a handful of Americans have made the trip over the pond their performance has not lived up to expectations. Neil does a fantastic job on pairing these guys. In his format North American pullers have shined. Many Europeans compete at Worlds very few Elite North Americans do. When taken into consideration all these factors leave a lot to be desired. I honestly believe Tim Bresnan and Jerry Cadorrette are more competitive than these rankings reflect. Unless these pullers consistently compete against eachother under one format we may never know the ABSOLUTE pecking order. My two cents.

I remember Engin saying that whenever either West meets East, homeground advantage seems to win over. It pained me to see Tim Bresnan slip a few notches on the Top 10 rankings, I think I'm in agreement with Tim's sentiments when I say that I believe that the natural order of things will soon be restored. I can't see a solution though, perhaps it should be embraced, such as the away seasons in the sport of rugby that I love so much. It can carry it's own mystique. I have no doubt the sport will grow and together with increasing globalization we'll become a more tight-knit community and the pecking order will become more established. Maybe.
