Budweiser will be providing beer cheap, but they are unable to do it free this year. There will also be food vendors lined up and will be inexpensive. I have confirmed prizes and/or gift cards for all 1st place winners along with cash for open and awards for novice. Looks like we will have the main stage for supermatches around the 1 o'clock time frame and then resume the regular tournaments under tents after the supermatches. Had close to 50 entries last year and only ran 7 novice classes. This year they are arranging the event around the AW tournament needs and we will be the intentional highlight of the day!

You'll be there to take a couple losses from yours truely. ;-) This will have a true strong novice turnout. You'll pull several that have never pulled before along with some more seasoned novice guys Local marketing. I did a lot last year and had a big turnout. You can only get so much from posting on here. You gotta hit all the spots where the "never been beat" guys hang.

Jeff said, "local promoting"! Wow imagine that. communicating to the people locally around the venue. Great job Jeff.
As we increase the novice and communication with the public the value of our sport and Elite pullers goes up.
I know the guys from Arkansas seem to be doing a great job growing.

There is no real way to market to non arm wrestlers that to knock on doors of gyms, clubs, bars, event centers, hotels, etc. in and around where you want to host a tournament. Sure, novice guys that are hooked along with pros see what's on here, local AW sites, and you can visit tournaments and hand out flyers but there is no better way to reach the novice than to get out and promote in person. I'm believing for +75 or more novice entries at this tournament and it wont come easy and without a lot of time. I had almost 50 last year, and 12 in the heavy novice right handed class alone. There are a lot of possibilities out there with sponsors, big name super matches, and running a few open classes that should shape this into an awesome turnout.

Justin the "Bama Bull" Bishop sounds pumped and will represent the south very well for this one. There will be a huge crowd watching that have never really seen organized arm wrestling before that wont understand the technique, power, and training it takes to be one of the best. I wonder if the winner would be willing to have a bunch of big ol' bikers and "never been beat guys" line up and take a shot at the "little" guy on stage. They just don't know what's up.....
