I recommend "Super" matches be kept to a minimum. We can't have everyone in a single class also pulling "Super" matches before the tournament. People will have excuses as to why they lost, and it will only take away from the real winners. If you when your class, you'll probably beat/place ahead of the guy you want to beat.

I agree but jmo if u like money and u want somebody's spot put the offer on the table! If they except then there are no excuses! Me personally id much rather win money and be 100% sure I beat him hands down! I like pulling tournaments but there are alot more variables that come into play. A true champion will win both no matter witch 1 they pull!

Ok...If a guy has a supermatch, gets burnt, and pulls the open, what do I get for beating him? A huge asterisk next to my first place. It's one thing if this happens for one class, but if everyone and their momma wants a "super" match, it screws up the classes. It makes it difficult for me and anybody else to judge where I am...

I move that "super" matches be limited to "super" competitors.

I move that "super" matches be limited to "super" competitors. honestly i dont think it matters who is super and who isnt super...is this a sport of only big names or is this a sport where anybody can step up to the table on any given day and challenge another person to a match? I found a guy that i had a great match against and got defeated... and i think that it is my right to challenge whoever i want and if he accepts it then its a go if it bothers you that someone who is just getting started in the sport is motivated to progress and slowly make a name for himself then you might as well throw arm wrestling in the dumpster in less then a decade because you arent giving any new comers a chance to shine in there moment of glory it doesnt have to be called a super match.. hell if you want chop can line it up and title it "pointless people who mean nothing to the sport match" i will still show up, introduce myself to the crowd, take my win or my ass whipping, shake my opponents hand, have some laughs, and go on about my business. sorry Ryan but that was a slap across the face to all active novice pullers and herman i completely understand and agree with what you had to say

A challenge match.
All I'm suggesting is we make better use of our terminology.
You want to challenge someone... Then set up a challenge match. That's your right to do so as you said.
But the term "super match" should be reserved for the top elite (state or national) competitors that in most cases a promoter is actually paying them to compete at their event. Even mediocre or less than mediocre competitors like myself shouldn't have "super matches"
I meant no disrespect. I just think its corny, and is not really good from a spectator perspective to refer to a novice challenge match as a "super match"
"Super" competitors might feel just as offended by referring to a novice challenge match as a super match.

I got it now. So what your saying, Ryan, is that you can never have a super match?
