I understand, Glen, but it's not about being greedy. It's about getting people to commit and stick to their word.
I'm sure if $50-$100 is nonrefundable, you won't have everyone backing out like last time. As a fan, I hate to see that happen. I'm sure the pullers hated it too. We got all excited and things kept changing. I know it's not your fault.
Just a suggestion.

Emergencies happen. 75% of the people that back out of these "Agreements" aren't backing out due to emergency. "I had to work." "I didn't have a ride". That is not an emergency in my opinion. If you are planning on going to a tournament you should have asked off work well in advance. MOST bosses are not going to "Fire" you for taking a day off that you asked for well in advance. You shouldn't commit until after you have asked and know that everything is set. 1/2 the entry fee seems fair to me. If someone from your family dies or is in a true "Emergency" state I'm sure that the pullers will refund your money.

Hey guys, I just checked what I had posted back in Feb. under upcoming tournaments, about the round robins. It seems I had a brain fart. I had posted a $25 buy in non-refundable. the wt. class can be changed from 198 to 165 or do both if we have enough interested. Still wana do a open class to. Are you guys good with a $25 buy in? I Hope so. Gona update my other post on this thread to a $25 buy in.

I would take the $25 entry fees and buy a very nice trophy for the winner.
