Or maybe go to a UAL event and EARN the opportunity to get a contract. It's pretty simple, the contract will not fall in your lap. If you sign with UAL then you only pull for UAL. I guess the other option for you is to keep pulling at the county fair.

Where does that benefit UAL? UFC doesn't do that with other fight leagues.. It doesn't make sense at all. Actually Jon, you don't know your history then because Dana agreed to let UFC fighters fight in Pride Fighting Championship in Japan years ago. Cross promotion isn't unheard of. And what I really meant was a co-hosted UAL/Arm Wars event anyway. Us vs.Them sort of thing.

Does this mean non-signed pullers can no longer pull UAL events?

Does this mean non-signed pullers can no longer pull UAL events? I'm sure you can pull UAL without being signed

Cross promotion isn't unheard of when there is a benefit on both sides... At that time UFC wasn't as big. UAL is already (and even more so in the near future) a league that nobody is even close to. Nobody else has the level of professionalism, funds invested, or the assets. My thought was why let contracted pullers pull for another organization? Now UAL vs arm wars is a totally different thing. Now it's league vs leave but if UAL has more "skin in the game" who then reaps the benefits of the event? This is where I could imagine stuff will get complicated. But as jake stated I think the UAL already has plans...

Looking forward to see where this takes arm wrestling.... It would be cool to see a series set up like the ultimate fighter. A bunch of guys stuck in a house with drama and coaches assigned to train them... Have super matches winner at the end gets contract and a shot at the belt...

from reading all these posts its looks to me as if that the people who were not picked or sighnd seem at bit hurt and bitter...on the other hand it also seems as tho that the people who sighnd are very excited but trying to convince others and maybe themselves that's its the best thing since sliced bread...its kinda on the same thing as me buying a boatload of stock and trying and hoping to talk it up even tho I know its a gamble(no one likes to be wrong)...makes me feel better when others agree with me....time will tell...hope its good for all armwrestlers and not just a few...I really hope it helps...

There is no gamble... I been armwrestling for 10 years and losing money at every single event The very very worst case scenario... We pull some incredible events... And don't get rich... Which is kinda what we all been doing right along... Every other variable beyond this is epic improvement... JMO It's asinine how people are so skeptical... What is there to lose ?.... Money... Been there with every current AW organization ... Being tied down... Lol... Because our options are plenty... C'mon I'd have a boner to pull and travel without going into debt... Life experience is what I'm after.... This weekend showed me good promise... No wishing on a start... It is what it is

rob...I understand what your saying.. but armwrestling used to be a hobby and basically bragging rites..we all spent money..and quite a bit of it...what has turned us into a people only looking for ROI...has it turned the corner into...I`m only going to armwrestle if theres something in for me monatarilly...it use to be if you spent your own money to travel it was because you trained and trained and figured you were ready to take that gamble...its a diff ballgame if someone pays your way...complacency may set in cuz you risked nothing...is that how this new league is running?
