Bro if there is money to be won (cash prizes) then NO but you can pull an open event with no money ... Very easy to understand

'Seems'.
I'm sure things will clear up as time passes and more and more pullers sign.

^^That seems pretty black and white. Here is one for you: We had a Harley Pull this year. Gave gift cards and cash to Novice and gift cards and the chance to win a Harley for open pullers. No cash was given to open pullers but a Harley Davidson was won. If someone is contracted with the UAL, are they able to pull for the Harley? I'd really like to know since a few guys that were there this year are now under contracts and it will effect the turnout of the event. thanks!

There are a lot of different scenarios like that. Florida States and Alabama States, for example, offer cash for overalls only. Can a UAL puller participate in the tourney and opt out of the overall?
Does cash mean cash, or cash equivalents too? Gift cards, etc.
Lock boxes? Technically you're winning a key, not cash. Can you forfeit the key? Same of the Harley.
This isn't that black and white. Real business never is.

Also curious regarding charity tournaments with a payout...the last one I did I actually gave my winnings back to the charity. I technically won money, but I didn't take any.

My god, y all the questions IF u haven't signed?
If u do or did, then u will know where, when and how u can compete...
So it's on those that sign on what they do. If they show and compete, and r NOT allowed to, contractually.

I'm not concerned at all if someone else violates their contract terms but thinking back from a promoters point of view I had a main event SM at one of my events with a now signed puller, and at least 2, maybe 3 pullers win keys who are already signed with UAL. Those folks may not make or break a tournament but it would be good to know if they could participate or not.

Well, when someone asks who do you think will be in such and such class, I'd like to make sense when I say last year x/y/z pullers were here and should be back again this year to pull. Who is going to attend is very important to some arm wrestlers since beating "that guy" to get his rank or bragging rights seems to be what a lot of pullers are doing these days. It's also benefical sometimes to promote pullers who have pulled that will pull again creating buzz for some of the matchups and classes. Ex. Logsdon and Barnett, Barnett took his first lost in almost 2 years left handed, will he be able to come back and beat Logsdon next year. I like to know who is going and promote specific classes or matchups so it would be nice to know.

I am nothing more than a decent amateur. I consider me asking the question kind of a PSA for other, more appealing athletes, who are considering signing with UAL. It is called a discussion board is it not? Whether or not a person is the President of the United States does not limit the questions one can ask regarding the President. I simply asked a question that I hadn't seen yet, if it benefits somebody else then great!

Here's my take... Everyone is looking for the loophole... Personally, I think if a company is gonna invest in you, you should show loyalty and pull only their events... Unless agreed upon to represent at other events... Did you guys catch UAL will have 12 events in the upcoming year ? No other promoter is investing in pullers, so if you are one of the invested in pullers, I'd say chasing that extra buck, Harley, cash box, free meal... Etc., is a slap in the face. Also from a promoter/ investor standpoint, what good is is if an athlete pulls extra events and runs risk of injury or being sub par come show time... Wasn't that the point of signing... To motivate, get some dedication and ensure you would have the pullers when and how you want them ?... I'm cool with that... If I was giving opportunity I'd expect nothing less.
Tell your boss you want days off to help your friend out... Or to go work for someone else out... It wont go over well 99% of the time... Do it more than once that turns to 100% I bet, with your job your boss gives you security and steady pay... In return they want you there when you are supposed to be and do quality work... This isn't a "job", but it is a business endeavor and should be treated with the same respect .

Good post Rob. With 12 events per year, I don't foresee signed UAL pullers going hungry for competition. In fact, I doubt any signed puller will even pull all 12 in a year.
