The Ultimate Match Ups consist of UAL "Contracted" Athlete's only Robert have you considered having special "one time only" super matches with unsigned guys? Would love to see a guy like Wagner pull a UMU...just food for thought Until now its always been in contracted athletes having supermatches / umu's at UAL events...

The Hitman Ford vs. Todd Hutchings for the number 1 spot in NA Hitman needs to beat a healthy and uninjured RVJ that didn't pull two classes at the MCG--which I dont see happening...the #1 NA spot is RVJ vs Hutchings Excuses You did see Hitman rip through Hutchings too didn't you? The subsequent wars after were also very good even though Todd squeaked out the wins. Hitman is for real and not just picking on the weak. I'm tired of these healthy and uninjured excuses people make for others. Every time I put my elbow on the table from now on I'll say I'm injured... and my loss wont count.

^^^... Well, like it or not, when just calling others the best other things have to be looked at when it's a bracket system based.
I won't touch MGC again, but in Vegas Allen did have a much easier day than Todd. Not Allen's fault but if we are to break it down and analyze it, brackets and draws severely skew outcomes. Yes it was Todd's choice to pull 2 classes, but he pulled nannestad, gashevski, chandler and nelson... In wars... With fouls, straps, restarts... Those 4 matches were enough to doom anyone. Let's not forget those aren't the only guys Todd pulled...I think Allen had two fast matches before running into Todd...not an excuse, but it is the facts and in lolling at who is who it is a factor... A major factor. The cherry on top was with all the chips stacked against him... Todd still pinned him twice. IMO ... Given the circumstances I don't think it's a good matchup given Allen couldn't seal the deal that day.
Now, if we are results driven... I did beat Todd fairly quickly... And I myself heard how tired he was from the week before. Soo... Let me understand... When todd loses to a guy after he got his a$$ handed to him by a few guys... It's all good the other guy is beast... When I beat the guy a week later he was spent ?... Makes sense.
Just look at the rankings... Allen beats Todd under his circumstances...all the love... But I beat Todd and it's the he was tired from a week ago.
I can't change the skewed perception today, but I will, in a few short months the TRUTH will be black and white. There will be a solo 205 on top of the mountain... Stay tuned

Make all the light of it you want, injuries are real and simply saying someone shouldn't have competed is ignorant because maybe they didn't know the extent or limitation of their injury til put in the position.
Take Marcio... One of the most decorated AWers and needs no accolades... He went to worlds injured and placed the lowest ever and list to guys he never got slowed down by... And hasn't since healing up.
Look at engin pre/post injury ... He needs explanation too right ?
At MGC... Which I didn't want to hash out, but I didn't know how jacked my shoulder was until I was on the table... What was I gonna do quit and drive home ?... I still did pretty good and pinned kade in the finals. Had that been a local event, I woulda withdrew, but it's all done and over with.
Just don't sell me on that BS about excuses, there are many many cop outs and lame excuses... But there are legit cases that come into play.

I agree to a point. But what it comes down to is if your willing to put your arm on the pad and lose. Then you lost. Period. No excuses about healing up and injuries and everything else. We are all full grown men and have the freedom to pull or not. And if you lose you lose. Period. I haven't felt 100 % since the day before I started training. That's no excuse for any loss I have ever taken. And I'm still the baddest 200 pounder in the country.

^^^hmmm... Interesting, ok, looks like we have very different opinions
And the" put your arm on the pad "should be universal then... It shouldn't be subject to fan boy opinions and prejudice

It's not. I've never made an excuse for myself or a teammate as to why I or they lost other than they got beat.

Thanks Dave, but the truth is I was flat out outmanned there ... I wasn't prepared, I was intimidated and awkward on the table, plus Todd was on point I feel there was a margin of error where I may have snuck in the win, but like 10%... That isn't a good place to be
My reason I feel different today is due to my commitment and training. I feel if I was to get caught in a hook I'd be more than any of them could handle and my hand/toproll are off the charts now . I'm just going by my own history and successes I've had , I know where I've been and where I'm at today... I have a totally different setup and approach along with a much higher level of confidence, conditioning and power
It's not a jab at anyone, just given my past I am overly optimistic about where I am today.
