No way anyone (but the referee) can say for sure if he was pinned. I do know that the referee was in the correct position to make the call and he was the closest of anyone. As Kyle said angle is everything and the shot was obstructed on top of that bad angle.

No way anyone (but the referee) can say for sure if he was pinned. According to that logic there would be no such thing as a bad call

The WAL put on an event like no other, so deep in talent that normal level pullers like myself were the minority. It was awesome to behold.
All great guys off the table and of course Travis kept everybody entertained. Everybody there was genuinely happu for Devon when won that bike. He deserves it
See you all in Chicago

No way anyone (but the referee) can say for sure if he was pinned. According to that logic there would be no such thing as a bad call I have no idea how you can say that. #1 bad camera angle #2 obstructed view How on earth can you say from that video that it wasn't a pin? You can only say that if you really really don't want it to be so. If you knew anything about me you would not make that statement. Referees make mistakes all the time. It is called human error, there is no such thing as a perfect refereed event. I should know that and have made my own share of mistakes. When you do make a mistake admit it and try to do better next time through better eye movement, better reaction, better mechanics and better positioning.

First of all, I think you and virtually all refs are great. Arm wrestling has to be one of the most difficult sports to ref, I try it in practice and do horribly. Also I'm not saying this was a horrible call, I just think it was a little too close to call at that point as Devons hand was still nice and high and tight and I would love to see what the next 5-10 seconds would have been like. My second post was just in response to you saying that refs know for sure, which you have just acknowledged isn't always the case. I'm not sure why you said "If you knew anything about me you would not make that statement" I never said anything about you at all.
