Gaydardzhiev has been dominating the 132's on the world level for a while. How do you guys think he would do at a WAL 165 class? Have any of you world travelers pulled with this guy? Would he run away with it?

I would say not good, considering Janis is barely placing in the top 4 in wal 165s.
That's the cool thing about wal ... The competition is beating the guys coming from other countries .
Nice to see that you don't have to go over seas to pull against world class pullers.

Styles make matches no matter the pullers or their origin. Probably the closest reference point is Vazgen. Clearly dominant at lighter weights. Multiple time national and World champion. Start pulling money events over 154lbs and people start sneaking in wins. European pullers on the elite level are predominately hookers. The United States has a good amount of dominant outside pullers. This equation could prove difficult for someone already at a weight disadvantage.

Mike, Janis won right and left undefeated at WAL I, granted Geoff seemed to have his number at WAL II, and I think Paul got a win on him too. But I wouldn't call losing to two guys out of about 80 in the two combined tournaments, "barely placing in the top 4". He's definately the favorite in New Orleans.
Kyle, I saw the Vazgen match ( just type "Gaydardzhiev" in youtube and its the first one about 1:45 in) I don't think I've ever seen anyone just hold Vazgen in the middle of the table like that, and this guy is 20lbs lighter than Vazgen. People usually try to get the quick hit on Vazgen to beat him, no one wants to slow pull him, but this guy just sat there seemingly effortless.
Maybe Vazgen can chime in...

Either way point proven .. He is the top 165 guy in the world and he lost... So no way 132 guy is doing good.
Vazgen placed like 8th in Vegas so there again 132 guy not doing as well JMO
