AAF Disabled Armwrestling
The American Armwrestling Federation (AAF) is in the process of recruiting Disabled Armwrestlers to represent the United States at the 2015 Disabled World Armwrestling Championship. (Not affiliated with WAF). The athlete must be a U.S. Citizen.
Armwrestling for athletes with a disability include the deaf and people with physical disabilities. The deaf and those with physical disabilities are categorized into two divisions, those that can stand at an Armwrestling Table or those that must compete in a “sit-down” position.
It is proposed that each athlete will have their travel expenses paid to attend the event. In addition, if the selected athlete requires a coach or attendant the travel expenses will also be paid for that person.
The sooner that a roster of athletes can be comprised the quicker details can be released.
If you are a disabled athlete or know someone that may qualify to represent the United States at this International event please contact Denise Wattles at dmwatts99@gmail.com.
More information will be available in the next few weeks.
Sincerely, Denise Wattles, President American Armwrestling Federation

Crazy isn't it. YES Tim you could pull Disable. The women from Brazil called the Crazy Brazilian is partially deaf and competes at the WAF worlds and has for years. There is really NO definition of what is disabled in the WAF. They are now just starting to think about it. As long as some doctor says you have ANY kind of disability you will qualify.
At A1 they have 4 categories. Standing, Seated, Deaf and Blind. But there were NO weight classes.
Not sure what this event is doing.

The time frame for finding disabled armwrestlers is coming up quickly. We need to have time to arrange the sponsorship for those that may be able to attend. Please refer the athletes to me with their contact information. Thanks
