I would have said Corey if he had beaten Allen. I know it was a small event with less than top notch reffing, but all of that is speculation. When is the last time Allen lost at 165? Against Luke in the GOA finally? Was that even this year? I don't have all the information but based off what I have seen Allen is the man at 165 right now ( in the US)
Todd zilla is another one...I cannot remember the last time he was beat at his weight

If we want to speculate i will say Chaffee is the man to beat fresh right handed.
At 165 i think Corey is the guy but we need to see him beat Cobra, Luke, and Fisher.

Brzenk - after a couple surgeries, at 52 years old regains the number one spot in N. America, right handed, after not having it for almost 6 years!
Prudnyk - unstoppable rh under 200 lbs this year (never pulled Todd H) - wins Worlds and Europeans AGAIN - places high at A1 (I think 5th) in open class, has some great wins there. Also won worlds lefty (which is no where near as dominant as his rh).
Fisher - looking stronger than ever, wins 3 of the 4 wal qualifiers, beats guys like Hale, Kindt, Talbott, Miller ect! At 58 yrs old... Takes the number 1 spot in the USA under 176, for the first time in a long time (since 09?).
Todd H - fully returns from surgery and proves that he is by far the best under 198 in North America - right handed - AND left handed - possibly becomes the strongest version of Todzilla to date? Wins ALL the wal qualifiers he enters BOTH arms, wins UAL BOTH ARMS places in top 8 in A1 overall rh and beats Tokarev - the current 242 EAF champ - lefty. Great year for him.
I say those guys are good candidates...
Edit: Marcio looked great this year too... Won a wal right handed over Larratt, second left with one win on Larratt, won ual both arms 235's and beat Lupkes rh in a supermatch. That's wicked.

Digging the heisman analogy Kyle, but there has to be more than one in this sport. Maybe switch it to 1st and 2nd team All American?

Every weight class then?
OK here goes
154 Sam Harris - not sure he has lost at 154 or under this year...took 1st at UAL 8 over Vazgen, Ethan, Jamie and bunch of other bad dudes.
176 Allen Fisher
198 Todd Hutchings
242 Marcio - assuming we put John in the heavy class. Otherwise John
Supers John - my runner up would be MT since to date only John has pinned him in a few years...PS I want to see that match fresh

Instead of the Heisman? Call it
The Brzenk Award?
Honoring the greatest in the sport?
Just a ponder.
And let leaders from ALL areas vote on it?
