Do you guys see a future in armwrestling for being the main source of income?
Please develop your thoughts. Thank you.

The only way someone can make a decent living off arm wrestling is by getting sponsors behind them. I have some experience in professional fishing. Most of the best pro tournament anglers do not make enough money on winnings to make a good, consistent living. It takes a lot of good sponsors for a consistent profit. The best pro anglers also get into all sorts of media as well to further publicize themselves and the products they represent. You not only have to be a successful at placing well in tournaments, but you also need to have excellent communications and marketing skills too. In arm wrestling though there are very few sport specific products to represent making it much more difficult to find sponsors. Pro arm wrestlers will likely have to go outside arm wrestling to find sponsors which is harder. If the sport grows a lot bigger, then it might be possible to make a living, but it will only be for the rare pullers that are also great salesmen.

I agree about the sponsors being key, even with the WAL and the sport getting so much recognition now days, one would have to be at the top of the heap in prize money at every major event to thrive IMO, but it does look promising now for the future to be bright as an athlete in this sport!
