Hi JC, This is from the result list from Europeans which was held two months ago. Watch out for Bulgaria to be dominated by the top 3-4 pullers you see here in these classes ans also some lightweight Japanase pullers can gain a place or two...When you think about it it is probably harder to get a medal on 154-165-176 category at the worlds compared to higher classes. These classes are where mainly 65% of European pullers pull under making the competition tougher. On the opposite end heavy weights particularly superheavy weights is owned by USA and when you look at the highest participation on Rotn answer is easy...More pullers on that category vs Europe heavy classes....

Bob
If you thought this thread was about miller which it was originally then you should ask the man who brought Roman up...not me. I responded to someone elses comment. Either way, Alper, I beleive there is no 54 in the world that would beat roman. I would like to hear what Engin has to say as well.

I think Vazgen is going to be in the final in bulgaria- I hope he wins it too....It is a long waited gold medal for USA team on lightweight world classes. when was the last time someone from team USA won the gold at the worlds under 154lbs??? I do not remember any soon other than Cobra in VA beach in 2000. I can not remember any from 2002- maybe there is someone but again all European countries were not there in 2002. A dream team USA under 154 lbs would do good but not enough to stir things up. Not yet at least. Generally speaking more than 65% of the male population is over 154lbs in USA....I would assume - where as in Europe it is just opposite. (I tie this to walking vs driving and bad eating habits) I used to weigh around 176 lbs when I used to live in Turkey and I was walking at least 30-45 min. everyday since I did not have a car and public transportation was not going to take me to the front door of my apartment. In only 3-6 months here in USA after my move I gained 15 lbs...just like that (thanks to MC Donalds $1 menu and my first car GEO Metro- I was driving that to evrywhere) I hate to hijack this thread but just thought I would give some insight perspective to Light weights in Europe...

I would like to hear what Engin has to say as well. yes Roman won against me in Vegas night where i also lost to Soliwada, who i quickly beat on same day at qualifications(also 7 other times in total that all took less than a second).i also beat Roman lefty again at day time but he won left hand competetion in the night time.he well deserved Roman goes down to 143s every year for Russian Nationals,WAF and EAF,not because he likes to get skinny but because of this guy; his name is Zoloev Haidzimurat,he is from Ossetia.his only losses in last 5 years (last ones were against Rustam Babayev in 2002)were only two months after i lost in Vegas, and three months before he beat Roman in Zloty(year 2005); sampiyonengin.googlepages.com/78.htm sampiyonengin.googlepages.com/79.htm sampiyonengin.googlepages.com/2.htm after winning 5 "REAL" World Titles in 154s (in three WAF that i competed in 154s,none in my back yard and none against only my countrymen but against the best pullers from all around the world) one loss that i received should not have changed so much but it seems like only my losses stay in minds.that is a great honour for me

Bob, the thread reads '154 Class'. I'm sure noone minds me bringing up Roman.....IMO, The US pullers at the top are the aforementioned ones, and don't forget Roger, Andrew Rhodes if he were to pull it, and Mike Surplus is pretty darn good to, when he pulls.

it is a fact that there is not more than a few (if not less than three) armwrestlers in the world that have been competing ALL AROUND THE WORLD "NONE STOP" for 15 years with 90-95% winning record in the World and European Championships.he is demoralised right now and it may be time for him to quit but what he has done have been recorded in the armwrestling history no matter what happens from now on.John Brzenk,Engin Terzi and Tzvetan Gashevski are the only ones that i can count as proving themselves all around the world none stop.the only 154 championships that i know Engin did not win a gold was 2005 Las Vegas, and i sure know he got ill in the evening as he was undefeated after the qualifications with both hands while both Soliwada and Roman had one losses with each hand by Engin.with his elbow conditions he may not win ever again, because we pull all the time and it seems like getting worser.
John Brzenk without any doubt the best puller ever and his only loss for a long time in his class was in 2005 Vegas where he finally won by an elbow foul against Hutchings.but in higher classes he has some defeats too.even in last a few years Bresnan,Bath,Bagent,Barbosa,Usmonov, Voevoda,Taras,Girdner have wins against Brzenk but these take nothing away from Brzenk being the best ever.
same for Tzvetan too,he is a legend without any doubt but as we can see no one is invincible.only in last two years he received defeats by Ruslan (four times) Pisarkov,Bulenkov (twice),Lubomir(three times),Haydar in 4 tournaments.but again it means nothing to me because this man shook the light weight world between 1998-2005 and he beat anyone he faced during this period.his name is written on the armwrestling history with the golden letters.
IMO Roman can possibly beat Engin now but i agree with Andrew that Engin is the best 154 ever and in his prime he could beat any 154 who ever lived.
and for the original subject of this thread i can say that Corry Miller has been getting better and better day by day and his start is better than any other 154 in US,so if he can finish Thomas with his dangerous hit then he would win but if Thomas stops him in anywhere that his arm is not separated much from his shoulder then Thomas would win, just my opinion.Engin talks good things about the strength that Thomas has.

Everyone knows I train Roger and think he is the best 154 lb puller out there and everyone seen what Roger did to Vazgen at the Arnold, But I have never seen anyone beat Roger like Cory did at Nationals, I give him all the credit in the world, Styles make matches, I think Roger can still beat Vazgen and I think Roger can beat Bryon, because of there styles but right now I would have to say Cory can beat both Bryon and Roger, and maybe even Vazgen, I would say Cory, Roger, Vazgen, Bryon

wow! i think i gotta disagree with that. Roger deserves his credit but i think he gets owned by explosive hit top rollers. Luke kindt pretty much dominated his matches with roger. Any of these guys going to Mohegan? I know Vasgen will not be there
