Don why not go with what Bob has said? Why not choose one from each weight class? If you are going to say one over all then there should be some kind of criteria for us to narrow down our choices. Not everyone on here knows how much one or another has done for this sport over the course of a year. Or how well they have done at local tournaments. There are a lot of great pullers that don't make it to the NATIONAL level but do a lot for this sport in there area. So how is it fair to them if people vote for someone that has been publisized on the board? If you are serious about this then it should first be voted on by the governing authorities in the sport first. Then see where it goes from there. just my 2 cents.

The male armwrestler of the year could go to alot of armwrestlers, that would be to hard for me to pick right now. As far as the Female Armwrestler of the Year, hands down Beth Westberry. She has won both Nationals, Southeastern Championships, Queen of the Southeast Title, Southeastern Armwrestler of the Year. I know there are a lot of Women out that deserve this award, but as an armwrestler she accomplished more than any other female this year. I don't know how she couldn't win this award if the voting is not suppose to be bias.
My 2 cents

If these awards are about the pullers who have made the most strides during the past year, as opposed to those who are maintaining a high level of competition, I would think (based on reading discussions, results pages) that Corey Miller would have to be there; Fritsche seems to have made some splashes this past year too, but I think I've seen more about Miller. I also don't know much about the women's classes, but most of what I've read seems to focus on Beth Westberry. Brandy Stark is looking strong as ever, but it seems Beth has put more under her belt. Fortunately, this is an award I will never have to worry about as far as finding a place for it in my trophy case!
