lol Bill, I was waiting for someone to finally say Everclear. I've never tried it myself and never wish to, but I've heard that nothing can touch it in terms of harshness.
Anything you can light on fire HAS to be rough.

Fire is for drinks like a Blue Jesus, (Almost fill a shot glass with Southern Comfort, top with white Creme de Menthe, light and drink) Everclear is a fireball.

Everclear is the stuff... I also have a bottle still, you cannot buy it in Calif any longer.
We would use it to make Jungle Juice, Purple Jesus, Atom Bombs, Fireballs, Lemon Dropdeads, and Pineapple Grenades.
If you drink it straight you can feel it hit every inch of you all the way down.

Of course we had open flame how do you think the Atom Bomb, the Fireball and the Pineapple Grenade got their names.

Pineapple Grenade
Cut the top off of a regular pineapple, core out the middle, usually dice up the available meat from this process dried it a day and soak it in Everclear over night for snacking.
Allow the pineapple to dry out a bit overnight on the kitchen counter, then fill it with half and half cold Malibu rum and Everclear
Once everyone has one made, you light the alcohol on fire in the pineapple, say a toast douse the flame with the top of your pineapple and drink it.
You can blend it with ice and then put it in the pineapple, but you will have to add a bit of Everclear straight to the top of the blended version once it is in the pineapple to get it to light on fire.
Atom Bomb
Shot of half and half Everclear and Cinnamon Schnapps on fire
Fireball Shot of Everclear and a dash of Tabasco on fire. (If I was going to make it now I would use Black Death Hot sauce)

My Everclear introduction was this: the guy across the hall in my dorm loved Everclear and orange juice (Everscrew?); I had a jar of Tang; he ran out of OJ. Pretty harsh.
