Yea I remember seeing that fight, and I thought it was a rerun from awhile back. I am not as educated with the names of the fighters in MMA/K-1/UFC/Pride, like I am with boxing. But I love to watch it. Having wrestled for 7 years I love and appreciate great ground fighting. And yes that was one heck of a kick!!

I havent followed it really super close since I stopped fighting myself. I have a different style than most BJJ fighters do tho. I am really more of a ground and pound than submission even tho my primary style has always been submission. I cant box worth a crap! lol Anymore I really only watch it close when its a fighter i like alot. Anyone with the Gracie name. Vitor Belfort.. Chucky.. Nick Diaz is becoming one of my favorite fighters...without the Gracie name that is But he is a Gracie..Blue belt I do believe. Mr. Stanton is the most knowledgable on this board when it comes to MMA stats and details.

Alan Karaev fought last night and got KO'd again. He's the one that needs to come back to armwrestling.
Thanks for the compliment JP. You are the most knowledgeable on motorcycles and decorating your goatee

Ya it was on again last night and it was Gilbert Yvel.. if it was a few years ago, did Gary get a chance to fight him again? I want to see the Pride fighting championships on Jan 8th. I think they said Shamrock may fight?

The shamrock fight is a replay. Pride does not air their pay per veiws live usually a week or two later.
Yvel is a very dirty fighter and hasn't fought in pride for a while now.

John I supose the re run of shamrock will be his loss to Tito? You know with all the weight classes now in the UFC, it is hard to keep up. i remember when, Maurice smith, Randy couture, Don Frye, ect... were simply the Champion of UFC.. Not to mention the original Champ..Royce Gracie!!!

No Sol, Shammy just fought Sakiuraba in pride and it was a controversial fight. Shamrock took a couple of shots and went down and they stopped the fight.
Of course Ken started whining and wants a re-match.
Ken and Tito will both be the coaches for the ultimate fighter season 3 which starts taping in Jan.
I like all of the weight classes, I just don't like the way the UFC doesn't establish the fighters. You hardly have time to get to know them and they are gone.
