Looking all old, hobbling all slow. He looks like he is on his way to the ring to fight B. Arthur.

Lets face it. Even a bad rocky movie would be awesome. I will take rocky at any level.

Kurt, The second link is still good. I like it. The dialogue fits armwrestling, too! "...ya gotta be able to take the hit and keep moving forward."
If you think about the premise of this one, it's based on George Foreman's comeback in his 50's. Boxing hasn't been any kind of draw since Big George retired. And there will never be a true linear champ again. The line of "the man who beat the man who beat the man" ended when George quit. All champs from here on are "paper" champs.

Kurt,
Does Rocky lose in this fight like in the 1st one?

There were four different fight endings filmed, two of Rocky winning, two with him losing. Who knows which one they will use. Test screenings will probably decide that. There also was a rumored death scene filmed, hopefully they don't use that one.

Just curious to anyone who might know. I see Rocky marathons on T.V. all the time (Spike T.V. and U.S.A. etc...) Wondering why they don't usually play Rocky 5 with Tommy Gunn. I personally enjoyed this one it's good even though Tommy's not a good actor and the kid gets on my nerves acting all bad. Not sure why somebody let me know if there is a reason.

Probably because not many people like RV. Even Sly hates it! Rocky was originally going to die in the street after the street-fight, but MGM stepped in and forced Sly to change the ending.

I would have never wanted him to die in it, that would have been a lousy ending to a great action hero.
I would have rather seen the press catch some of the street fight where Rocky clearly shows he can be competitive with him, the press and the public will not let up on the need for this fight, and Rocky gets struck with a need to get in the ring again, Adrian or the boy gets hurt or ill etc, Rocky takes a big payday to get back in the ring where he wins in a war and gets his life back.

Simon, that is somewhat indicative of Cinderella Man, which was an awesome movie, considering Russel Crow is in it! I, too, hope they will not kill off Rocky. I think his role would be better served replacing his mentor. What a tribute that would be. He could get Pauly in shape to fight!

I know I can't wait to see it, even if it isn't all that good. And I agree you can't judge a book by it's cover.
