We Americans had this coming to us. When you live complacently and ignore the bigger picture, eventually the bigger picture comes back to haunt you.

I think in the short term "GAS" prices will keep armwrestlers from traveling also. Thus having an impact on promotors, not so much the housing economy that was discussed in length on another thread. we all just need to go as groups of 3 or more........

My wife drives a mini-cooper in an attempt to keep the gas use down on all those 3 mile trips around town, to and from school or soccor practice .etc.
I make up for her attempt to use less by using more with the big V-8...so I quess we balance each other out.

So, please don't do this, I will only get mad at the person blocking the pump than the oil companies who will increase the price even more to teach you a lesson. They have that option and there is nothing the government nor the public can do about it. No one listens to me... Not that that is what happened, but was mentioned.

Filled up my work truck from a 1/4 tank and it was still $80!!! It is $3.34 at the stations that we use our fleet cards at.
Chris, out here we almost always carpool to events.
I think everyone should not take vacations this summer and see what kind of impact that has. That or the Truckers could strike!!!!!

What is needed is a true lifestyle change, not some one-day gas picket, or a one-year vacation strike. Americans must change the way they live.

I think everyone should not take vacations this summer and see what kind of impact that has. That or the Truckers could strike!!!!! The main down-side to that, Justin, is if the truckers strike, we the consumer will be affected directly and the oil companies will just laugh while their cigars burn. Although it will make a good impact on the oil companies, we will be the ones who will learn a lesson - a lesson of what not to do. Wow! One would think I worked for a large oil company or something. One thing is for sure... DO NOT BUY CITGO GAS
