As a tournament director, I don't consider my job to be complete until I've posted the results. It's important to the majority of those who compete. And I concur that it was difficult to maintain the In the Hook rankings when I had to run around to try to find results.

Don’t you hate it when a non-armwrestling acquaintance asks you how many people were in your weight class after they learn you won an event? Often the number doesn’t sound impressive. They probably don’t understand that most tournaments attract armwrestlers – i.e. people who are better at armwrestling than 99+% of the population. So despite the small number of entries, it could be a very tough tournament to win.
This being said, I always get a high from performing well in a large class. I believe the biggest class that I’ve won -- excluding finishing atop a field of 80 kids at a summer camp tournament when I was 12 years old –- had 23 competitors (Arm Melter 4 in 2008). Other good finishes in big classes include 2nd out of 38 at the WAL Atlantic City event last year, and 3rd out of 48 at the quintuple elimination open weight class Quebec Enduro Open in 2010.
Question for Northeast Board members: What is the biggest class you’ve ever won?

That's a good question, and one that has yet to be officially clarified by the WAL. I'm also interested in the answer.

Based solely on the top 8 results from the four regional qualifiers, below are the pullers who are eligible to compete in the men’s classes at the WAL New Orleans BIG MONEY BadA$$ Championship. The lists do not include those who may have qualified by attending all four regional events, or those who may receive an “at-large invitation”.
This is going to be one scary comp!

Good news for armwrestling fans! Almost every male American puller currently ranked in the In the Hook rankings (with the exception of UAL contracted athletes) have qualified to attend the New Orleans WAL Championships! For example, 9 of the top 10 90kg pullers are eligible to compete, 8 of the top 10 110kg pullers are eligible (9 in the left), and 8 of the top 10 Unlimited division pullers are eligible (7 in the left). If all of these men decide to attend, this could be the highest calibre American tournament in years! www.inthehook.com/top_north_american_rankings.html
