I think you all have very valid points . I've always been on the side of Jason gulley for the most part as bodybuilding and its followers are a very different mindset and goal set, but I see the expos that events are held at as an asset... So it's a double edge sword of sorts.
The leveling"belt" system is great !!! There are not enough steps in this sport... A guy just stepping out of amateurs into open can pull either another newly open guy or the brzenks of the land... That is a very very large gap and daunting.

I like your outlook and agree with your overall assessments.
Admittedly I've been guilty of the productive and non productive destructive type jealousy

Max. I agree with you for the most part. I disagree with your part about the only people who have a problem bit... Because I've been top of my class for a while now and at better times beaten and been competitive with top heavier guts and supers.
I have seen the transition people make... The boost it gives... Regardless of beating that person or not... It's sh;tty seeing a guy gain 30% strength in a short time when us mere mortals try for a 1% increase.
I know I don't speak for everyone as I know a lot use the Roid debate to pad performance and jealousy... However it is kind of just if you think about it... At least some of the jarring examples I've seen over the years.

In all due respect john... Nobody "KNOWS"... We all assume. We are the only ones that know what we do ourself. How many parents have you seen on the news and they were like" I had no idea "... Or spouses married 30 years being like" I can't believe I didn't know that"... Be it child porn, affairs, drugs... Imbezelment ... Whichever. You NEVER can be 100% It's not like people are just gonna tell you.
This isn't a jab at your son or Devon, just at the positivity you speak of. I had a fall out with my uncle over a similar situation with his son and his positivity and what a piece of $hit I was about suggesting his son being a junkie... Only a month before he overdosed... Got brought back to life and spent a year in rehab... Shocker.
Good genes do exist no doubt. Those guys should be happy to be pointed out, if there is nothing to hide the there is no issue.

Les, I'm not a know it all in this topic, but I know GH does miraculous things .
I saw video of a much smaller less freaky Denis as an adult years back... I doubt GH didn't have any effect... He is the GH poster boy if you were to talk to a specialist in this field.

How about the real elephant.... GH ? This has GIANT effects on our sport and far as I hear it is undetectable

Agreed. I'm at a point where I don't give a sh!t anymore... I mean I do, but it's like shoveling sh!t against the tide.
I'm fortunate enough to compete on a high level as I am and believe this year I'll be a solid number 1 regardless. All cleaning it up will do is make it easier for me.
However I have witnessed transformations and seen performance on a table skyrocket jump drastically from it... Well like Jeff janes outlined... It did make a HUGE difference... Guys that used to blast hiim he was posing with... That's pretty big.
The real clean guys... The ones who have always been clean... They are a very very small group. I'm talking about mid range pros and up... Not novices or guys that lose all day

Like I said... The only way to test is random and often in months coming up to an event . Say you register or qualify for an event like Olympics... 6 months in advance. Once qualified or registered you are subject to random testing from day of registration all the way to competing... With a minimum number of tests between that time. A lifetime of using and the gains that come with it can't be accounted for, but from a certain point on ... It can be regulated or knocked off balance... IF that was a real goal.
Or the same system year round. Like say you are now registered with WAL... You are subject to year round testing with a minimum number of tests a year... Regardless of events on the docket for you

I was just saying it's a great idea...and I proceeded with the ideas. Had I known this was to be taken literally I would never have posted because reasons you outline. It won't happen and unless it is policed 100 times more than the above scenarios... It still has holes like Swiss cheese. I was just joining in... Not really trying to resolve a problem that is light years away for this sport to resolve. Our thought is the minority... That alone is a huge hurdle we may never overcome

I'm diggin this. I like All these ideas... I would rather pay more entry fee personally and test top 3 every class. If a standard event is $20 entry fee... Then bump it to $50... In a 10 man class that's an extra $300
Considering how many pull multiple classes, and a half a$$ed meal is more expensive... Money should not be an issue at all
In ALL money events... Top 3 should be mandatory... I'd happily pay a high entry fee for a solid test that goes back far enough.

... To answer your question John... Yes, the home court is an advantage ... I plan on the ghost fouls being called if I win and false starts if I win fast... Though I'm one of the slower starters in the game . For Allen, the wrist will be bowed, hops like the Easter bunny are acceptable and straps set just to his privy... I can see it now !!!
Truth... This match wasn't dropped on me, I actually proposed this to Robert Drenk and asked for it knowing i'd be in his back yard. I've had the "belt" for over a year... I feel if a better man is there... Then let him have at it. There was no intention of this match going on the docket.... I pushed for it and am ok with a better guy taking it. This is a personal journey to see if I can get back to a form I lost a few years back... If I can, I win , if not... Then the better guy takes what is his. The MGC is a shark tank and no better platform in my opinion to sort this out. Winning there will be definitive
