i see your point.... i just dont agree. I dont think that thought process lines up with scripture.
Satan was an angel cast down from heaven. a specific being or "entity"
"HE" comes to steal kill and destroy.
"HE" comes as an angel of light
"HE" roams to and fro throughout the earth seeking whom he shall devour
there are too many scripture references that teach us he is a specifiic entity to dismiss his existence and influence over the earth.

An opposing spirit is a specific entity Not entirely. There is the nature of man which in itself is opposed to the nature of God. I can agree with that. But that does not conclude that the spirit of man and Satan are the same thing.

Satan is definitely a separate entity.
Realize this that Satan is not omnipresent like God.
Satan was at one place at that time and Jesus knew where. So he spoke to him.

This is common.... Jesus was talking to Satan who was using Peter at that moment. He was not talking TO Peter ok..if I look at you and say "Ryan, you are an offensive person"...I'm talking to a different entity and not you?.. I think if I look at you and say that, I'm talking to you. As when Jesus looked at Peter. You would be talking to me. About me. I am not Satan. I can be offensive. I like anyone can be used by Satan.

I do understand your perspective and why you might think this.

Have you ever personally witnessed an exorcism of sorts.
This is common.... Jesus was talking to Satan who was using Peter at that moment.
He was not talking TO Peter

You almost make sense. But I must disagree as I see you have misinterpreted a couple scriptures and as a result you may have a skewed view of the core gospel.
I don't think Jesus was calling Peter Satan...... I'm open for correction on that.
The word says we must work out our own salvation yes, but salvation only comes through faith in Christ and him crucified.
You must work out your salvation but you cannot produce, provide, create your own salvation.
You cannot purge yourself of evil. Only Christ can do that.

Johnny I can't seem to find the post where you referenced the crescent moon.
What do you think is the connection from our study here to Islam?

Ok guys what do you make of this scripture?
2 Corinthians 11:14-16 14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. 15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.

How is it irrelevant if Satan has deceived the world into calling him the bearer of light.
