Just wanted to take a minute to say how much I thoroughly enjoyed meeting Leonard Harkless and Denise Wattles and participating in this tournament. Many people (including myself) have recently submitted post to this board about how bad the refereeing at tournaments have been, how unorganized the tournament were, etc. Well this was the BEST tournament I have ever pulled in, it was very well organized, the referees were great and to my knowledge there were no problems at all. Truly a first class event. Thanks again to Denise and Leonard for a great event!!! Also, thanks to Gary Roberts and Arm TV for his devotion to the sport we love!!! ;D ;D ;D

Turbo,
Just another note, when I started armwrestling there was no such thing as a Novice class, so I've really only been in the novice class since last year.

Turbo,
No worries, in all those years, I've probably pulled in about 30-35 tournaments total. Just been getting serious about it since last year when TEAM RCA was formed. My plan is to make the AAA Nationals in South Carolina next year my last novice tournament, plus all you young guys need to take it easy on me, I'm an old man of 42!!! But on another note, the 176lb novice class better beware because Ryan Comardelle is a "BEAST" and he's coming to BIG D!!! Can't wait to pull you guys, for me it's all about having a good time, making some new friends and not getting hurt!!! ;D

I agree with Bob's explanation, and I also agree with Pete as far as the elbow placement.

;DJust wanted to post an observation, first off I was not in attendance at Unifieds, but have been watching the videos since they have been posted. What I have noticed is that hardly any matches were completed without fouls being called, and you could tell the competitors were frustrated by not being able to get going full speed before a foul was called. I'm not saying that fouls called were not justified, I'm just saying that it seemed like an unusually high amount of fouls were called compared to most of the other tournaments that have been posted recently. On many occasions as I was watching the videos, I found myself saying "let them pull already"!!! I've seen tournaments where people let go of the hand grip and no foul is called where at this tournament, sometimes while watching the video a foul was so minute that you could not see it unless you rewound the video several times. Also, I thought that the refs were too "hands on" with the competitors, as I personally find it bothersome for someone to put their hands on me as I am preparing to compete. No disrespect meant to anyone, just an opinion.
